I think it's worth remembering that pace isn't much use when the opposition have 10 men behind the ball whilst camping on their 18 harder. That's a daft comment. I played football with some brickies and labourers that I'd bet were a lot quicker than some "pacey" professionals.

When it was announced that Dixon was staying and Robson was going, I could understand the thought process. Keep a player who can play left back and centre back in a 3 or a 4, and get rid of a player who can only play left back/wing back. Ray has fucked it though, as he's now asking Dixon to play the style that suited Robson, which is never going to work. Keeping Dixon and playing a winger in front of him is fine, however, asking him to hit the byline just shows how poor Ray is

I think Ray will win us the league but, it won't be convincing. If we get promotion then he'll have us mid table at best, which is why I think we need to bin him and look for someone new. Ian McCall plays exciting, attacking football and has been a success with Ayr whilst playing that way. We need someone in his mould
