It might happen but probably won't......but if a decent draw and if all first choice players fully fit and on-form then we do it. Unfortunately the chances of all those ifs aligning in our favour is unlikely so, it's out we trot. Hopefully heroically as in 74 and not tepidly as in the last Euros.
With everyone fit and available parhaps but suspensions and injuries expose the lack of depth in the squad. Thankfully we have the finest Scottish international manager in living memory (which in my case goes back to Bobby Brown) at the helm which is why I'm almost convinced this Scotland team will go where no Scotland team has gone before and lose a knock-out match at a major tournament. !
With the depth of talent we have at our disposal that ain't happening any time soon . But turning what would have been defeats into draws is progress enough.
Oh young sire. Wiser heads than you said that about Zaire, Iran, Costa Rica, Morocco etc etc etc ....... When will people get it into their heads.....We are Scotland, we don't turn anyone 'over no bother' !
Of course 'your' club is. Glasgow Celtic openly support, encourage and benefit from the obscene financial disparity that blights Scottish football. Regardless of the label 'Tories', there is no disputing that Glasgow Celtic are capitalist vultures who prey on the weaker clubs around them(the fact that they get the same done to them in Europe is karma at its finest). Clearly you know as little about political and economic systems as you do about football.
Meanwhile down on planet reality Ross County, Motherwell , St Mirren, Rangers., Aberdeen, Hibs, Hearts, Dundee, St Johnstone, Kilmarnock are the only scalps Glasgow Celtic are getting ....
The ability to defend intelligently and adapt tactics to the demands of the opposition are as much a hallmark of great teams and great coaches as free flowing attacking football. That's why Celtic have not been a truly great team since at least the reign of wee Gordon and young Mr Lennon.
It certainly is....it's a long and depressing list but parhaps a glance at Scotland - USSR 82 is enough to remind us of how catastrophically awful Rough was as an international keeper.
You did if your name was Alan Rough and the international caps were for Scotland. He was quite simply the worst 'international' goalkeeper I have ever seen (and I remember Stewart Kennedy).
