  1. Argentina 3 Bolivia 0. Messi hat trick. The first goal is classic Messi. Nonchalantly knocks it through a defenders leg's then curves it round the keeper into the corner from 25 yards. Some boi.
  2. Arlo Parks won. Unbelievably beige Radio 2 drivetime bollocks. Lovely hair though. Great performances from Nubia Garcia, BCNR and some nice Pharoah Sanders footage. Quite enjoyed Berwyn's performance. Would have been nice to see Sault unmasked. Wolf Alice were awful. Annie Mac, why.
  3. Quest Engineering Cup action for everyone this weekend, except us who are away to Scone in the league. I would like to think that come 4.15 on Saturday afternoon we will be sitting 3rd in the table.
  4. Well, tonight's the night. BBC4 9 o'clock. Sault are the bookie's favourite at 13/8. I think it would be nailed on were it not for the fact that Michael Kiwanuka won last year. Arlo Parks and Laura Mvula are close behind in the betting with both at 4/1 but I think Black Country might be worth a cheeky fiver at 11/2. That, or Floating Points at 9/1.
  5. I gave up on British tv when they stopped showing Top Of The Pops. Channel 507 on Sky, NHK World is on more often than anything else in the Shandrix house. Very soothing, like visual laudanum.
  6. You're obviously too young to remember Kachloul-gate. Fucking b*****ds.
  7. Playing in the Champions League this season will bring on his game to the next level. What an experience for the boy playing against RB Leipzig, Man City and PSG. Can only be good for the national side. Very excited by the partnership he is beginning to form with Hanley. They both strolled it last night.
  8. Pleased Hendry has rammed it up the naysayers. No failures in the side tonight (obviously) but for me he was a clear man of the match. He's got to be first name in the defence in the future. A colossus.
  9. One of the greatest things ever shown on tv. At the time, it had me completely. There had recently been a programme called "Hospitalwatch" and this was billed in the same way. The beeb was absolutely dragged across the coals for this. Some poor guy killed himself, he was so disturbed by it. Massively influential in the horror/found footage genre. I've got it on dvd. Not sure if it's still available. Watching it after the fact, some of the acting is a bit hammy but it's a great story, albeit heavily indebted to the Enfield Poltergeist, which wasn't as well known then as it is today.
  10. 5 for today Animal Collective - People The Charlatans - The Only One I Know Parquet Courts - Plant Life Mu - Let's Get Sick/Chair Girl Modeselektor - Trees
  11. The gig sounds a bit odd but I suppose if you just throw yourself into it, it would be a whole lot of fun. So many great songs. Some not so great. "I Still Have Faith In You" is classic late period Abba. Not so keen on "Don't Shut Me Down" but very much looking forward to hearing the album.
  12. I would like to nominate the cover version of "Walking In The Air" by Frightened Rabbit, but common consensus on this forum would have me chased out of town with pitchforks and flaming torches. So, on a similar tip, I think this should be added to this fine tome of shit music. Even posting this here makes me feel dirty. I'm off for a good scrub.
  13. Pingu and Pongo are very good signings for Harp. Surprised both didn't end up at bigger clubs.
  14. A magnificent performance from India today. I did not see that coming, however England did not cover themselves in glory. To put it mildly, that was a poor effort with the bat. Bring on the 5th test.
  15. Thank you mate, I'm not doing well at all but would have crawled to get there on Saturday.
  16. India realistically need 3 in this session to stand a chance.
