Fuctifano
Has somebody put up a new building blocking the direction the sky dish is pointing? Like my parents do both homes get freeview through sky dishes without normal aerials? Not in the last hour. Their TV in the living room is Sky and the one in the bedroom has a recordable freeview box so it's 2 different receivers, for want of a better word. The one with Sky has built in freeview as well but I'm assuming that's down too. I've had a quick search on twitter and there doesn't seem to be anyone in Glasgow saying they've lost all TV signals, does suggest it's something very localised, there wasn't any bad weather last night or anything, unless someone's been on the roof which I would also say is unlikely.

It's a fair question but I admit to having an image in my mind of some bricky working at hyperspeed.
Granny Danger
Got a message from my parents saying both Sky and Freeview are showing no signal, and this is the same with their neighbour's freeview. What is buggered here, both aerials and the satellite dish? Have they tried winding down the windows and putting the heaters on full blast?
Bobby Skidmarks
What's the easiest one coat paint to use? I've just got to touch up (snigger) the hall. I can't be arsed doing it twice as it's quite high and long.

Does the one in the bedroom have its own aerial or is it also connected to Sky? Just seems weird for both to go down unless their sharing the same dish/aerial. And if the neighbour's has gone down too it would suggest something physical blocking the signal. A mate of mine had to get some trees pruned down when he lost his Sky signal.

Nah, separate, I'll tell them to phone Sky, nothing I can do to fix it anyway.

Dee Man
Has somebody put up a new building blocking the direction the sky dish is pointing? Like my parents do both homes get freeview through sky dishes without normal aerials? I had Sky a few years ago, saw the contract out then went to a cheaper deal with Virgin. Saw that contract out then was going back to Sky who had offered me the same contract as Virgin but at half the price until their engineer came round to set me up and realised the trees out my back had grown too big and blocked the signal. I suggested he got in a fucking rocket and moved the satellite slightly but he said it would probably be easier to cut a bit off the top of the trees.
Hedgecutter
Question: All the big 'box' things on top of the big high rises around Motherwell (visible from the M74); are they all some sort of water tank or just some weird architectural design? KnightswoodBear
When I view the forum on my phone I see the smilie in the photo below appear quite often. What is it actually supposed to be?
BFTD
Looks like it's supposed to be teeth clenched, shaking smiley, but the app sees the colon and S at the beginning of the text used for the smiley and interprets that as the one you see, displaying the rest of the smiley text next to it ('hutup'). Kinda like when someone types an 8 followed by a right bracket when making a list and it ends up looking like this: Div's team of third world child coders fucked up somewhere, essentially. Stick a bug report in so he can have a family member killed in front of them; it's the only way they'll learn. Edit: that's supposed to be the sunglasses smiley above, just in case the app fucks that up too. Mr Bairn
If you alight a bus or a tram at Haymarket, does that still count as getting off at Haymarket?
Bobby Skidmarks
If you alight a bus or a tram at Haymarket, does that still count as getting off at Haymarket? No, because it's not the last stop before home (Waverley).
