The New Raith Rovers Thread

What about the Queen's Park manger he might do aright at rovers as looks like he's going to get them up

Mcpherson? Been around for a while (albeit not that many clubs). Last time out in this league was 11/12 when he got Qos relegated with a team most Queens fans think of as turgidly shite.

Ellis's departure confirmed on the OS.

A good move for him. Couldn't have been easy at the start of the year being bundled in as a part of the furniture but he's clearly shown his worth.

I'm also uninspired by the names circling about at the moment but I have faith in the board making the right appointment when that time comes around.

...does that not leave David McGurn as pretty much the most "senior" member of the footballing staff?

Player/manager might finally be enough to make him give up the college lecturing.

It's the only sensible decision! McGurn for manager.

Suppose that's a sensible move for Laurie. He's never going to be manager here having been overlooked 3 times before and probably doesn't fancy being around when the 4th manager comes in who may or may not decide he didn't want Laurie on the backroom team. If he's been offered the chance to go with Ray then good luck to him

Laurie's finest moment in a Rovers jersey?

5:52 - Some header.

Without a doubt. Also mind a goal he scored against Dunfermline at Starks where he ran up to the crowd celebrating only to promptly run back after realising he was on a yellow card.

Think you're confusing him with big Damien.

Absolutely gutted Laurie is away. The definition of top bloke, a great guy and by all means an excellent coach. All the best Laurie, but the way we're losing likeable guys right now is really hard to watch :(

Casalinouvo was at EEP. Think Laurie did that in a 2-0 win at Starks - scored our second off a corner and had to run back from the celebrations.

I'm pretty sure it was really an own goal, but Laurie claimed it anyway.

Nah it was Laurie. Season we almost won the league. Ran in the crowd then ran back claiming he got pulled in.
