Never hid in games either like Bobby Barr. He also has the benefit of actually being a winger unlike Ross Matthews. I,ll give you that he never hid in games but his overall play was poor to say the least

The type of player where if he had a poor game you'd notice it, but if he was on form he'd be superb (as is often the case with wingers). Grant Anderson said recently on the Pele Podcast that he's enjoyed playing up front, because as a winger you're judged on how often you beat your man. As your forward your job is to score goals, but there's less pressure from the fans. 17 minutes ago, Rovers1992/1993 said: A lot of people claimed Conroy and Cardle were murder during their times with us despite Conroy notching double figures and Cardle scoring 7/8 goals in his season with us as well.. Zanatta was worse than both players though. For me it was Cardle > Zanatta > Conroy. With that said, Conroy was never a winger. He was more of a wide midfielder who was exceptional with set pieces. I generally can't ever really recall Conroy where he had an excellent game on the wing. Cardle is by far the best of that trio though.
grumswall
ThomsonWatson davo bene murrayVaughan Matthews Gillespie lmBuchanan dugganSeems to be our starting 10/11 so far. Could do with another striker, a lm a more attacking cm and a rb.Brian is more than capable at this level despite his age. Watson should see more game time this season the same as mckay and I'm quite excited to watch valentine, Berry and Stevenson get some game time. Were not far off a good team for this level.

Beachbum
Little wonder after being third choice behind Smith and Lennox despite being better than both of them.
foreverarover
So we just rip up his contract ??? Perth Glory reserves, the only club he ever wanted to play for. That development team was a joke last season. A complete waste of money. If Smith had the finances in sure none of them would be regular starters.

That development team was a joke last season. A complete waste of money. If Smith had the finances in sure none of them would be regular starters. Or you could argue that if Baz Smith hadn’t been such a twat and given These guys game time they’d be more ready to step up and this season we maybe wouldn’t be looking to sign so many new faces. Paradoxically if he had played them you’d maybe have been able to argue that playing kids would have been the reason we weren’t promoted, but we’ll never know on that one. Brian is an outstanding prospect but as has been mentioned he’s probably off because he wasn’t given the chance because Baz felt he tries to play too much football. Instead the role was filled by Smiths clown shoes pal Graeme. Midfield was a disaster from the moment Cal was sold but did Smith try a young midfielder? Did he Feck! He wouldn’t even try Davo in the middle and continue to play McKay in defence who had been great and it took him months to play Hendry whom he signed on loan for that very purpose. Brian, Watson, Court, Berry and a few other all overlooked and their development stalled because Smith doesn’t like playing kids and has openly stated the Dev budget should go as a priority to the 1st team squad. Your right though with Barry Smith at the helm the Dev squad is a waste of time, probably part of the reason why Craig Easton went.
Beastie Russell
If Davo was played in midfield last year, who exactly would have partnered McKay in defence ? Bene ? Nope he was injured Murray ? nope played at left back Nice to see you posting without harping on about the pitch for once.
