Just watched Murray's post match interview there. Again, he's saying all the right things and is obviously seeing what we see from the stands, but he's really got to sort this in the summer. If he doesn't the buck has to stop with him.

You’ve a real negative vibe about you. It just oozes from your posts.

Anyway, looking forward to next season. Pars up, Cove gone and likely Hamilton too. Just a pity Dundee Utd have won their last two as they’re preferred to Kilmarnock or Ross County.

Nolan will be gone in the summer so recruitment of the defence and up top is critical.

Not this week but it is essential listening.

Saturday sport show. Interesting/terrifying AGM through the week and essentially confirming a lot of the speculation on the takeover/investment.

Just listened to it this morning. Think the point is well made that if there is no investment, what is the alternative? More debt and guaranteed dropping down the divisions. Got to hope that those in charge are making the best calls and those wanting to come in are willing to sacrifice the time to turn the club around off the pitch and on it.

Also as a side note reading between the lines on it looks like Lang will be away which means major surgery on the defence which is probably no bad thing.

Pars coming up is good from a financial point of view, but not so much from a football point of view because they will effectively be pushing us down a place in the table.

What we absolutely don't need is Falkirk coming up because it then starts to look like a straight fight between us and Arbroath for 9th and 10th.

I’m definitely not worried about the pars or Falkirk coming up, they may finish above us but both were in that league for a reason and we have to worry about ourselves and what we do. I don’t accept at all that them coming up pushes us down we have finished above both on many an occasion. No idea why you are so negative, Falkirk have been a joke club for years and hardly on fire this season ( neither are we I know). I’m sure recruitment will be better this summer

The fact is they'll both blow us out the water when it comes to wages so we'll be left picking up the scraps as per this season. I accept that doesn't guarantee they'll finish above us but it's a decent start and there's absolutely nothing to suggest Murray will be able to do a better job for us than McPake and McGlynn will for Falkirk, so on the balance of probabilities I think it's fair to suggest they'll both be above us.

We're then relying on the likes of Morton and Ayr having a bad season.

Listened to it this morning, was a good listen even if it did just have me shaking my head at how badly mismanaged the club has been over the last few years.  And a little bit in awe at hearing yet more examples of Sim's ability to deflect every bit of criticism of himself onto other people.

Also, I thought I'd seen it somewhere on here that the loss from Keatings wages was 30k, which I did think was quite low.  But then on the show they said 30% of our loss was down to Keatings wages, which is yet another incredible waste of money.

That’s your opinion, but if it took until 27/11/94 for Jimmy nic to win you over, nothing me or anyone else on here says will change your mind. No offence but you must be a barrel of laughs at the games 😉😂

Listening to the K107 show, I'm happy enough for Falkirk to let John McGlynn blow us out the water with wages.

He, John Sim and the board should hang their heads in shame.  I challenge anyone to listen to that and still kick up a fuss about trying to move on with some new folk.

Don't understand having a go at Barrowman for working for Joma, when we've had an accountant and an owner of a electrical shop overseeing a bit of a mess.

Fwiw, Scott Boyd seems to be fine in his role and he's an ex player.

What does he do? I hear his name mentioned now and again but have no idea who he is or what his role is supposed to be at the club. I don't recall him at all as a player.

Well you could run the club sustainably and within its means?

Well of course, but given that our off field costs are probably the major burden at the club, not a lot of opportunity to manage that and any sort of squad on the pitch. I am in agreement that our playing budget should be worked out on crowds and not speculative on big games, hopes and dreams and whatever other magic has been pulled into them previously.

Raith are a bigger club than Arbroath.  I don't think anyone would debate that.  You have a bigger fanbase, history, stadium.  We've spent significant money over the years upgrading our facilities, but we are still able to run a sustainable football club.  If we can do it, why can't Raith?
