Interesting…perhaps they agreed to move it for attendance purposes.

The way the draw was structured we were always at home in the next round, then we're away every tie we play after that.

East Fife, at Bayview, October 9-10. Winner gets the winner of Elgin City/ICT, away. Not really enthused that much, but a nice little trip down the road isn’t the worst result.

Reread all the Challenge Cup crap and found my mistake. It is Raith hosting EF, then playing the winner of Elgin City vs ICT. If we progress, then it’s Accies/Dons B/Killie/Queen’s Park winner away before the finals.

It should be but that Boyd Tunnock fell out with Neil Doncaster. Heard it started with an argument over Norwich City. Then it got personal. Shame really.

Missed that to be honest.  But no great surprise with the Donkey still at the helm.

Easy win today but should have been more, would have been if it were not for Marc McCallum, quality keeper who should be playing at a higher level than league 2. Was a bit dissapointed we didn't see Arontt in the game today however Mitchell got himself in a few good positions, looks like he could be a decent player and one to sell to Hibs or Hearts in a year or so after a bit more game time.

Also Davie Watson is a jammy barstewrd, well done on the 50/50 neebs.

Really impressed with Zanatta so far.  There was one point he lost the ball, but worked incredibly hard to get it back, and we should have had a penalty as a result. Long way to go, but we have seen a different Zanatta to the one under Barry Smith.

Not really getting the notion that Mcglynn has recruited terribly as some suggest.

Tait was superb yesterday, which would usually be a positive, but just adds salt into the wounds tbh and highlights how tough replacing him will be.

If the CEO's intention was to reassure anyone over the Tait deal, then it was a job very poorly done.  It's clear that the deal wasn't about the money, so I'm really unsure as to what the benefit is for the Rovers other than enhancing John McGlynns reputation for youth development- which isn't enough.

I'd also like to see how the transfer fees for Tait and Bowie stack up vs the contributions to the development fund.  Easy for McGlynn to beat the drum about bringing x amount of transfer income, but it would be interesting to see how the regular contributions from fans balances out vs that. It's not just Mcglynn and Smith working away for free, there is a dedicated pot of money funded out of supporters pockets for this express purpose.

At the end of the day, the manager and CEO have both done interviews to try and justify the deal, and have made it seem worse than initially thought.  That's a bit of a f**k up, to be honest.

There was a boy somewhere up the back of the stand who didn't agree - screaming blue murder at every little thing he did wrong. No encouragement for the many things he did right of course.

It's so dissapointing.  He's the only player who looks capable of doing anything like the Hendry role, the area of the pitch we haven't addressed properly.
