CALDERON
That can't be right, we were assured by some on here that Murray was "obsessed" with signing him.

However, because he has played for Rovers and Killie this season, he can’t play for anyone else in the SPFL. His choice was basically move to the Lowland League or sit on his backside for 6 months. Did he actually play a competitive game for Killie this season. He signed for us at the end of July so could only be League Cup games if any.

On the other hand, could work well for Connell. EK are only 8 off the top with 2 games in hand, after you delete the “B’s”, so it’ll be a chance to help EK win, and potentially play to gain promotion. Certainly, if he can deliver there, he’ll get offers from Leagues One and Two next year.

Double Jack D
Yip, never really worked out for Connell at the Rovers, best wishes to the lad. I would've been disappointed if we had given him a wage for the rest of the season or more as he clearly wasn't up to this level yet.

CALDERON
I'd like to think that the timings of us progressing to the next round of the cup, and Connell signing elsewhere are more than a coincidence.

Not sure he would have. His level is lower than top end League 1.

Raith Against The Machine
Maybe I'll regret this once I listen to what he has to say, but fair play to Steven MacDonald for sitting down and doing the interview. A willingness to communicate directly is a significant improvement.

Broken Algorithms
It's a good listen that if you get the chance. I'm glad that the club have had someone come out and acknowledge the disaster that was the Goodwillie transfer but also to draw a line and encourage everyone to move forwards together (while also appreciating that for some people that may be impossible). The Scottish takeover sounds optimistic so far but there's obviously limited details. This might be a good thing given how Dellios tried to take control via press releases and leaks. On the signings front, it sounds very much like a classic case of "we've been offered plenty, but very few players match what we need".
