topcat(The most tip top)
I spend a lot of time in wanky looking cafes in Edinburgh. Clearly your in the normal down to earth ones if they're serving sandwiches as opposed to Focaccia, Ciabatta, artisanal pumpernickel or Algerian Flatbread

Yeah yeah yeah, you've did the golf/fish combined thing. Congrats. For the record , the first 'sandwich' I bought was @ '79, and before the term 'flop wedge' was coined. I couldn't hit it more than 30 yards, full swing off a good lye. But I was better at pool/snooker - darts I feel sorry for weans these days....

jmothecat
Piece, messages and chipper are all in my every day vocabulary. Am I multi-lingual or just mixed up? Messages and chipper are perfectly acceptable words.

Miguel Sanchez
I once saw a grown man in my work eat a piece and wotsits for his dinner. Why do (apparently) so many people not progress to eating actual food when their age reaches double figures?

I almost always cook 'proper' meals for my three by which I mean lots of fresh veg and lightly grilled meat with a minimum of fat. About once a month we have a plate of "Don't tell your mama" which is usually curry and chips. Plus a piece and crisps is seldom a bad thing. Edit: A roll with ham, sliced beetroot and salt and vinegar crisps shows there is, actually, a god. Miguel Sanchez
Crisps on bread holds no appeal to me (I'd rather just eat the crisps) but I can see some sort of sense in it. A piece and condensed milk, that's not food. Neither is, what was it on the previous page, butter and sugar? What the f**k is wrong with people?
sjc
Wotsits aren't crisps but I agree with Kinky, a handful of salt and vinegar crisps on your ham salad roll/sandwich is magnificent.
19QOS19
Just watched the two hour documentary "Conviction: Murder at the Station" on BBC 2. About Inside Justice looking at a case and trying to have it overturned. Two hours of my life wasted.
