I took the piss out a lassie last year (well, just rubbered all her messages) and I actually quite liked her but I was a big bit fucked up. Anyway, I've managed to get hold of her number and messaged her apologising and explaining my dickish behaviour.

Root for me P&B.

Any update?

Did P&B's rooting result in you rooting?

Recently my hearing has improved quite a bit.

Think it's because I always listened to music on the way to and from work via earphones, and have realised that it was almost certainly too loud. Also listened to music or podcasts at work via earphones.

Since working from home I've had no need for earphones whilst listening to music or podcasts.

Also realise that I had tinnitus. It took the slight ringing to go away and me to notice its absence to come to this realisation.

It's named after the Dick who set it up.

You would also not get much change out of a million quid to buy a house in Dick Place in the posh Grange

She text back earlier saying thank you for the apology but due to how I acted she doesn't really want to go over old ground.

Completely understandable.

Onto the next one, onto the next one.

I've lost the old thread about matches on YouTube but I found this nice little oddity - it's a compilation of all Paul McGrath's touches in the Football League XI v World XI in 1987.

McGrath was a fantastic player.

Aside from having to read someone using the phrase "off season", this is all very pleasing.

I remember one season Carnoustie Panmure played their last game on 20th June and my team (having finished in May)  played their first pre season friendly about 10 days later. It was almost possible to watch all year football that season if you were a ground hopper.

I was incredibly lucky to make it to the age of 34 and still have all four of my grandparents but now, at the age of 37, my last grandparent has died. My wee Gran passed away on Sunday morning after suffering a stroke on Saturday evening. She went peacefully in her sleep in the nursing home she had lived in since my Papa died in 2017, racked with dementia and an absolute shadow of her former self, barely knowing herself or anyone else. A horrible way to live her last three years and at least now she is no longer suffering.

sorry to hear that man, you were lucky in that they all were alive for a great period of your own life. Hope yer well.

I frequently pass a "Swan Veterinary Practice" in Dyce and consistently wonder whether or not it's one of the more specialised niche businesses, especially as there are a few swans along the Dyce-Danestone stretch of the River Don.

Neighbour chapped the door yesterday evening to inform us his son (51) had died suddenly. He's had a time of it these last 2-3 years, first his wife died, then his mother and then a brother.

You expect to bury your parents and there's a 50% chance you'll bury your spouse and there's a fair chance you'll bury a sibling but you don't expect to bury a child, even an adult one.

Still perhaps better value than the ‘Parking Space’ for sale lower down the page, valued at £210,000 for an 85 yr lease![emoji15]

I spent my YTS time working for Kilmarnock & Loudon Council at the Dick Institute.

ETA: Jeez, that was nearly forty fucking years ago!

Many thanks. Got into see her yesterday, she was wearing her dress that she wore to my wedding.

We're not able to have a service or anything, just a small gathering at the graveside.

She deserves more, but would have understood that's where we are.
