The Forrest Green Rovers thing isn't borderline militant. They aren't forcing anyone to buy anything vegan. Sounds likes it's a bit of a gimmick. How has it went down with their fans? What are these peppered steak slices you're on about? Would be disappointed if EEP stopped selling the Stephen's bridies! Ehhh. Mixed as is expected. Most are OK with it but feel that there should still be a non-vegan choice on their menu if they want to eat at the football. http://forum.fgrfc.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=97362 That being said though, they do have a dedicated thread to an FGR poetry corner, so they are very much a wanky fanbase whose toes would curl at our highbrow brand of conversation. http://forum.fgrfc.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=53321 Quite sure that there were steak slices in a pepper gravy on sale previously at EEP and they were magic. Might be getting mixed up with another ground, though. Bridies are definitely really good, though. NotThePars
Don't see why anyone would be bothered by places offering vegan options unless you feel guilty about eating meat. It’s definitely this. It’s especially funny to get mad about “militant vegans” when it’s people like Piers Morgan that are having head’s gone moments across the net over a vegan alternative to a sausage roll.

To be honest, both seem to be at the opposite ends of the same scale, arseholes who just want to tell others what to eat and control how others live.
welshbairn
Does seem weird to make a fuss about one football club without a meat option when nearly all the others don't have a vegan option, unless they can eat macaroni pies.

The best thing is for clubs to cater for all the fans and have options that are vegan, meat etc so that the majority can have something to eat. I don't know why any of them have to be 100% meat or vegan either way.

DA Baracus
Folk do realise that they don't have to go to Greggs, and if they do that they don't have to order a vegan sausage roll and are free to order any meat product they wish?

Outside areas without large Chinese or South Asian populations, I'd agree.
tongue_tied_danny
The Scissor Sisters' cover of Comfortably Numb is comfortably better than the pishy Pink Floyd version.

Nobody is having a heads gone, other than those biting for days and days to blatantly obvious wind ups.The proportion of vegans who use words like rapist and murderer when talking about meat and dairy produce/consumption absolutely deserve to be mocked and ripped to shreds.
