Thing is, it hasn’t worked, and as feared (if you are being kind), we were nowhere near ready for a league campaign. If you are being brutally harsh (honest), Hartley has enlisted around a dozen players who will never ever be ready for Scottish Championship football, yet again, some of those have long contracts. We all wanted what was a refreshingly different approach to succeed. God knows, it might all come good, but that’s end of the rainbow bollocks. Hartley has to be a seriously worried man tonight. He managed to cajole a bunch of misfits and “couldn’t care less” players over the finish line last season, but given free rein to overhaul the entire club, it really does look like he and his contacts have made a complete mess of it, and there’s now no room to correct those mistakes (even if he is capable of recognising what he has gotten wrong). We're basically fucked. We can't get rid of this lot. They're not good enough. And even a change of manager isn't going to help that. I think this could already be another two years in the mid to bottom of the Championship.

He might not be a terrific one but he can definitely play left back competently. Unlike McGhee who's a fucking shit left back He can't defend that well. He can play LWB and go forward but he was always suspect at defending last season Is he a better left back than McGhee? Yes or no?
Stainrod
Robson was a good attacking wingback not a great backpost defender. So it depends on whether we are setting up to attack or defend in this league

I reckon Hartley knew weeks ago that what he had wasn’t anywhere good enough, and he’s made two disastrous attempts to defend his way through games. He might well be terrified that a bias towards attack might see everything unravel very quickly.

Play your full-backs at full-back.
Reggie Perrin
We're played six competitive games. In five of those games, we've conceded in the first half. We should have conceded in the sixth one but Forfar missed a penalty and hit the woodwork twice. Virtually every one of those first halves saw a poor performance which often saw the team jeered off the pitch. Nobody has scored against us in a second half. Every goal we're scored this season has come in a second half. Every decent performance we've put in has been during a second half. Hmmn. Is your point that the Manager is making a horses arse of his starting eleven every game?

I think if you could get an honest answer he'd admit what he has signed is dross.

Senor Bairn
Playing McGhee in at left back has cost us, the goal last Saturday was from a poor clearance from himself and one of the goals today came from that side of the park, the guys a good centre half and a decent right back but we need an actual left back in at left back.Countless times today Muirhead would wander off into space when an attacker goes down the right hand side, leaving Harrison to come into the position Muirhead should be at. Making a total c**t of the whole defence.
wee_bairn
It’s frightening how far away Dennon Lewis is from being the ‘baller that he believes he is. Edited August 11, 2018 by wee_bairn

He got those games to sort things for last week. He failed and failed to sort things after last week and this week was worse. I believe he will blame the players in his interview because he can’t see what he does and how he does it isn’t working
Ranaldo Bairn
Who gives a f**k about Rangers on Tuesday, seriously? I do.I love the CC. I deplore the introduction of colts and the idea of getting beaten by the Visigoths juniors is horrifying.

The issue is he is a custodian not a leader. A great custian who did a great job sticking his neck out when we were in real trouble. But handing the reigns to politicians and lawyers will result in sensible stagnation (its what we have had for 10 yrs) and the fans are fed up with mediocrity.! f**k off Martin
RandomGuy.
At least you're failing with an unknown batch of Englishmen instead of the usual Championship failures, that's a positive I've heard.
