Steven O'Donnell always reminds me of Easter Road when he got booked twice and the ref forgot to send him off,he ran over to dugout saying take me off.But the Hibs bench sussed it out and shouted to the ref(bloody grasses)

Maybe I’ve made this up, but I seem to remember a Hibs fan in the main stand running down the steps to tell the Hibs bench who then grassed O’Donnell up to the ref.

Does anyone else remember this or was it just a fever dream?

Was that the same day Liam Craig was an unused sub, but still got sent off?

Was that not why the wee soul came down, tears streaming down his face, to say LC had said a bad word?

I couldn`t remember what kicked it off but you could be spot on!! Wee Russell having to calm the situation.

Went along to the Clutha last night to watch a fellow Bairn perform with his band. Was doing a bit of searching for their other material last night and led me to this site.

Any of these bands ring a bell? One speaks of Brian Guthrie and his brother who went on to have great success. He was on Offtheball recently discussing it.

Haven’t clicked on the links, but iirc Brian is the brother of Robin Guthrie of top class The Cocteau Twins.

Great pod as always lads, but I could’ve done without John screaming “BRAD MCKAY” out of nowhere around the 47 minute mark. Just about shat myself.

When I was a lad we had some great bands played Grangemouth and Brian promoted them. I believe Ultravox, Simple Minds, the Bunnymen amongst others have played Grangemouth in their early days.

I didn’t say Lewis and Stuart didn’t do a decent job. All I said was on the highlights I have seen I think the new lad is better.

Think you can stop pretending you’ve only listened to them on highlights and that it wasn’t a veiled dig at Lewis!

I must admit I am partial to listening to a bit Cocteau Twins when the mood takes me. Great band 👏

Have to confess I hadn’t heard of them until listening to Offtheball but played a few songs on Spotify after and they’re really decent. Pretty unique too.

Brian's brother was Robin who formed the Cocteau Twins to worldwide success. The one time Brian introduced me to him, he was nice until Brian mentioned the football club at which point he turned on his heel and walked away without saying anything more. I take it he (like Arab Strap) was no fan....

I’m sure Brian mentioned something on Offtheball about him getting hit on the head or something at a football match when they were kids and after that he didn’t take an interest.
