When I was growing up in the 60s and 70s, I had to listen to my parents and grandparents generation banging on about how they didn't have all the things I had. I could never understand why they felt that automatically made them superior to me. I would try to point out to them that as children 'they' had things 'their' grandparents didn't but it never struck home. It's thoroughly depressing now that it's my peers who think they're hot shit because they didn't have smart phones, cable television and central heating. Seriously Boomer, give it a rest.
