roverthemoon
Didn't get any of them even though I've been to Gelsenkirchen. Poor show.
Cowden til i die
Technically not as I had already seen your answer and would have copied I wouldn't have got Bari or Bern.
craigkillie
I wouldn't have got Bari or Bern. Nor would I. Doubt I would have got Stuttgart either.
forehead7
That's shitty. You can't really have a final with only 4 pointless answers. I know host cities is fairly easy (in terms of guessing) but it's still crap to only have 4 chances to get a pointless answer.

My 3 guesses were Turin, Eindhoven and Belgrade. Edited October 4, 2011 by lanky_ffc

forehead7
REM top 40 singles. I can only think of Shiny, Happy People. Losing My Religion and Everybody Hurts. Man on the Moon as well. Should do better though.
IainMorton
REM top 40 singles. I can only think of Shiny, Happy People. Losing My Religion and Everybody Hurts. Man on the Moon as well. Should do better though. I only got the better known songs, I guess only diehard fans would have gotten the pointless answers as they were songs I had never heard before!
craigkillie
I am not an obssessive REM fan, but I have listened to a few of their albums and I know some of the songs. I wouldn't know which ones were released as singles though. I'd possibly go for "What's the Frequency, Kenneth", "Ignoreland" and "Electron Blue".
forehead7
I'd possibly go for "What's the Frequency, Kenneth", That's what they won it with.
roverthemoon
That's what they won it with. No that one got 7 points. It was a song called Strange Currencies they won it with. Hard category to get a pointless in.
craigkillie
I've just checked it on iPlayer, and my answer of "Electron Blue" was a pointless one.
forehead7
No that one got 7 points. It was a song called Strange Currencies they won it with. Hard category to get a pointless in. Was it? Oops. I just remembered them using it and them getting pointless, TBH I did zone out as soon as the question got mentined.
craigkillie
Another football one on the head-to-head round - 2010 WC host cities. I'd go for Bloemfontein. EDIT: 5 points. Only beaten by Nelspruit and Polokwane. Edited October 6, 2011 by craigkillie
Cowden til i die
'Bloomfontain' was my guess too. Had no idea how to spell it. Mark Ramps? Was he a finalist?
craigkillie
Public schools is a nightmare question. Would Rugby possibly be one?
Cowden til i die
Horrible. Eton was my only other answer.
craigkillie
James Stewart films. I don't know any.
Cowden til i die
Even worse. Only know It's a Wonderful Life. He was a dick. Edit: should have went for spy fiction as it would have been James Bond related such as enemies.
