Just arrived in Dublin to see Springsteen twice in next three days. Extravagant I know but I figured I'll be a long time dead. So looking forward to a packed 80,000 crowd in Croke Park. Irish crowds really go for it. City centre is hopping with Springsteen fans plus Irish and Dutch football fans. A good day to be alive.

Anybody going to see Springsteen at hampden is in for a treat. 3 1/2 hours of pure joy. Bruce Springsteen at his very best. The band were so tight. Couple of sound problems but who cares. Stroll on Sunday

What time did he start? Need to plan what time to get there for on Wednesday.

Stage time according to the Hampden website is 6.30pm, but I'd imagine he'll be on closer to 7.

Thanks for that info.

Getting excited now.

Can you easily walk to Hampden from Central station or is it a bit of a hike?

Doable but a bit of a hike, if you getting the train into Central it would be easy to just get a train out to Mount Florida and then it's just a few minutes walk

It's an alright walk if it's not raining (40-50 minutes depending how fast you walk).

I've never got the train to a gig at Hampden before, are the trains as mobbed as they are for Scotland games? Especially coming back to catch the Gourock train from central, should I be able to jump on a train at Mount Florida no bother or will there likely be a bit of a queue? Planning to get the train from central around half 4ish as well, should I expect that to be a pain in the arse?

Anyone know the best way to get from Hampden to the city centre after the gig that doesn't involve waiting for god knows how long at Mount Florida? The last time I went to Hampden for a gig, I'm sure I walked to Crosshill and managed to squeeze on there but not sure if there's any better methods than that?

Nip up to Kings Park and use that line instead
