Moving soon you'll be glad to hear.

Missing the glamour and fast pace of Auchinleck life?

We ordered a new bed, having thoroughly worn out the old one through relentless shagging*. It was supposed to arrive last Wednesday but on the day we got a notification that it was damaged, and so sent back to the manufacturer.

We asked if we should wait for a refund before ordering again, and the company said no, they'll just order us a fresh bed for free. So, our assumption was that we wouldn't get a refund, just the bed we ordered a few days late.

Today the bed arrived and a refund hit our bank account. As of now we have a new, free bed.

They might take a payment of course but for now, I'm about £400 up

*That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Laughed too much at that. I'd remove the * if I were you

Nice! Could've done without the mental image of you sticking to the mattress through relentless shagging, but still - nice!

Last freebie I got was when I ordered a £12 pencil from Amazon and they sent me another a week later.  Presumably someone was executed at the fulfillment centre as a result, but I feel their sacrifice was worthwhile.

Oh, the BHF in Falkirk had Seventies Star Trek albums in today, just in case you don't have enough sci-fi tat.

Finally started my first shift at my new job after a few delays. Was thrown in at the deep end but it was overall a great shift. If they continue like this, the drop in hours is more than worth it.

Shame you weren’t involved in that relentless shagging.

For the last few months we’ve been able to buy fillet steak for the equivalent of £17-£18 per kilo; excellent quality too.  We buy complete fillets each time then chop them into steaks, strips and cubes and stick them in the freezer.

Eating far more red meat than we probably should but it’s wonderful.

This reads like an Eric Rahill tweet.

Son is going to his pals. Wife announces I’ve to get my own dinner as her and my daughter have tickets for a show. I’m stuck in all alone. Tears are welling up. 🍺

I think his formal name's either Eric Munro or Eric Corbett.

Still doesn’t help, but we had fillet steaks last night.  Served with chips and onion rings.
