The Sevco 'Yes' vote and the 'Billy Reid effect' took hundreds off an already small support.

Plus the fact that the majority in Hamilton don't give a solitary f**k about the Accies, choosing instead to follow the bigot brothers and actively cheer against and ridicule their hometown team.

c***s to a man.

That was first time I've seen the words "Sevco" and "Yes Vote " in the same sentence but some good points. Hopefully some sustained top flight football will see some fans return.

Of the trialists Galbraith looked decent, the keeper looked a bombscare, hard to tell about the first centre half. T

he spanish speaking duo didn't really get long enough alhough the midfielder had a couple of good touches while the centre half looked average.

McGovern or the Trialist?

Was impressed by Galbraith, as for the other trialists, not so much!

Although I do think the Inter Milan keeper deserves another chance, the defence didn't do him much favours when the own goal was nearly scored.

I was really impressed with McGovern when he played in the first half, Dumbarton on Tuesday night then!

Do you guys think that you will sign Galbraith then? We're apparently speaking to him also, but if you were to offer him a deal, he'd obviously sign for you before us..

Wouldn't be surprised if he signed for us, played very well last night and if he can build on that Vs Dumbarton I'm sure he will be an Accie next season.

He seems pretty injury prone and although I can't remember him at Hibs I remember hearing he was average, may be wrong. I'd like a fast as f**k player and he sound decent enough for us but if you go for him we'll have to look elsewhere. I'd be disappointed as we do really need a winger.

While I'm here is Quitongo Jnr still in your youth system? He must be U20s by now? Decent prospect?

I think so! there's 2 of them at Accies, Jai & Rico Quitongo. Don't think any of them are over 17!

Jai Quitongo is with us now, I believe.

Where did you hear this?

Hamilton boss Alex Neil admits trialist Danny Galbraith impressed - but says he needs to maintain form to land a deal Former Hibs winger did well in pre-season friendly win over Hearts and could earn a contract with Premiership newcomers.

Hamilton boss Alex Neil admitted trialist Danny Galbraith may have played his way into next season's plans - but only if he keeps up his level of performance.

Galbraith (23) did well as a second-half sub in Wednesday's 1-0 friendly win over Hearts at New Douglas Park and set up Grant Gillespie's stoppage-time winner, but Neil wants to see how he does in the Oban Saints tournament this weekend, and in Tuesday's home friendly against Dumbarton.

However, he was impressed with the fitness levels shown by Galbraith, who has just finished a season with Limerick in the League of Ireland Premier League, under ex-Accies assistant manager Stuart Taylor.

Alex said: "Danny did well in the second half when he came on. He has been with us for three days now and showed up well. His fitness levels are excellent at the moment, because he's just finished in Ireland, and was still playing up until about two weeks ago.

"As you saw, he contributed to the goal, so we'll take him in a squad to the Oban tournament on Saturday and we'll see how he goes.

"He did well, so we'll have a chat with him, but he's got to continue to do that between now and next week. We'll then sit down and see where we go with it."

The gaffer was delighted with the win on Wednesday, but more with the performance levels. He said: "Hearts had played a few games but that was our first 45 minutes. I thought we played really well, knocked the ball about, and probably should have scored a couple in the first half, because we had good opportunities.

"The team in the second half, considering we had so many trialists, performed really well and managed to get the win.

"I thought, in terms of our general play, we were good. The cutting edge is the last thing that really comes for a team once you get closer to the start of the season, but I thought our fitness was good, we controlled the ball well, and I'm really pleased.

"Ideally we wanted to get everybody through without picking up an injury, play well, and if we could win that would be perfect, so it was 'job done' as far as we're concerned.

"We're going to have quite a few games between now and the start of the season and I think that's important, in terms of getting match-sharpness for everyone.

"We've got a bigger squad, so we need to make sure we've got enough games for everybody, to make sure they're all ready to go. It's going to be difficult to pick a team for the start of the season, because we have that many options and everybody is doing so well. It's really exciting times for us."
