Better Call Saul

The Real Saints

I'd kick them both in the pie. It has started well and it certainly isn't dull, but it's far too early to suggest that it's better than BB. The first season of BB was maybe a little bit slower than the first season of BCS, but it was a great start nonetheless. The character development was brilliant and paved the way for future seasons. For all we know, BCS could run out of ideas or end terribly. Much like any movie or series, we must watch how it plays out in its entirety before deciding if it's better than BB.

Well, it's true. 'Breaking Bad' lasted 5 seasons. It's far too premature to say, based on 7 episodes, that 'Better Call Saul' is better. Obviously it's fine to compare BCS's first season with BB's first season, but it's simply too early to say whether it's better than the entire series.

Breaking Bad was just so ridiculously far fetched and ott (part of the fun of it) that I'm hoping bcs reels it in a bit and stays within the realms of possibility. I'm skeptical that it will, but we'll see.

Liked that episode... good amount of comedy at the start, although it did get a bit bogged down in legalese at one point.

Nice understated cliffhanger at the end. We'd managed to not watch it for the last few weeks so watched three on the bounce but sadly it'll probably be back to one episode per week now.

It was another very good episode, but very heavy on Chuck and the "will-he-crack" tension. Actually reminded me of an episode of Boston Legal, when William Shatner's character took a drug that gave him his mind back (briefly) and you got to see him at his peak. What will happen to Chuck now?
