Not sure how that would affect answers to anonymous polls but it wouldn't surprise me if a fair few people simply say they're undecided rather than express support for "literally Hitler".

I'd be embarrassed to support either candidate.

The traditional political labels are falling apart in America, even more rapidly than here. "Republican" has split between outright fascist/delusional and status quo centre right. The Democrats just had a self proclaimed Socialist getting close to winning the nomination, utterly unheard of. Being identified as a Liberal used to be enough to wipe out anyone's political prospects from either side. Interesting times ahead when Trump may set up his "Movement" after losing the election spectacularly. He won't be able to give up standing on a stage in front of thousands of morons cheering him on. Instead of practising for the debate tonight he went to a rally in Colorado, a state that he has lost.

Good column in the New York Times on why Trump embodies and represents the worst of America: http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/17/opinion/donald-trump-the-worst-of-america.html?smid=tw-nytopinion&smtyp=cur

The stooges at the NYT have been publishing pathetic clickbait hit pieces on Trump like this for weeks.

I was listening to a bit of it in the car and heard Trump talk about ripping babies out of their mothers "one day" before they were due to be born. I don't think he was talking about caesarian sections. Switched it off after that.

Killary utterly bossed the first 20 minutes, Trump has clawed his way back somewhat but generally off the boil and is being counter-counterattacked very well. She's utterly lying through her teeth half the time of course, but it's coming across far better.

Her delivery is waaayyyy better this time. We know she's fake as f**k but she was coming across that way before. She's actually coming across as genuine and it's helped her.

Trump continues to be at his best when he's on the attack. He doesn't exactly come across great but he seems to have a decent grasp on what button to press.

I would love to know Trump's source for the majority of Syrian refugees in America being "ISIS aligned". A monumentally stupid and dangerous thing to allege without evidence.

When did he say that? If you mean just before the Trojan Horse comment, he said something along the lines of 'with certainty' some of them are/will be 'ISIS aligned'.

I'm sure he mumbled that 'most' of them are 'ISIS aligned'. That's what's being said on Twitter too. I imagine most of the post-debate focus will be on Trump refusing to confirm that he would accept the legitimacy of the result if defeated, though.

You shouldn't believe everything you read on Twitter. I've just checked, he said, "She's taken in tens of thousands of Syrian refugees who probably in many cases - not probably - who are definitely in many cases ISIS aligned."

I think you're right that his comment of refusing to accept the result should Hillary win will be the main focus. He's done it absolutely on purpose imo to draw attention towards evidence of why he thinks the election is rigged against him. High-risk strategy that will immediately turn off a lot of undecideds, but will pique the interest of a lot too. Personally, regardless of how well such evidence stacks up, I think he's just dropped the ball.

When he was rambling did he not get mixed up between Iran and Iraq (or maybe Syria) for a few minutes? Thought Hillary was more nervous and stiff than usual, but Trump was like that man who went to the BBC for an IT job and accidently got interviewed as an expert. No Trump voter will be won over by Hillary from that but any undecided's will go to her.

Closer to the first debate than the second in terms of there being a comfortable winner. Another poor show from The Donald.

I completely disagree with this. I've actually been really surprised with how poorly he's managed these debates on the attacking front.

There have been a couple of moments in each debate where Clinton - either because of the subject matter raised or her own rank hypocrisy - has been vulnerable and he's missed every single open goal. The amount of times she's slid out of potentially very awkward arguments without a challenge has been incredible.
