Tiffoney from Livi signs on loan. Decent on paper.

Aye I’m happy with that.

After the McDaid move fell through I was surprised we hadn’t added a similar player.

Should be decent, given he’s mostly played above this level throughout his career.

Is there any news on the striker from down south we were trying to sign?

Read somewhere it wasn't happening due to some red tape. I'd assume this loan signing has firmly put it into the sea for this season.

Dick Campbell was quoted somewhere saying he had 3 loans all ready to be concluded from England before finding out last minute it can only be loans from Scotland.

I find it mental that any manager thought they'd be able to loan players from down south. The international transfer window was never extended.

Do your lot ever release the match highlights to the general public or is it always a case of sign up to jagzone of f**k off?

No - the overall highlights package is usually only available on JZ. For last night’s game as it was Scottish Cup, there should be highlights put up for free by the Scottish Cup media team however.

Is Blair Lyons injured?

Yes.

From Archibald"s pre-match notes vs Cove Rangers.

Quote

“It’s pretty similar to last week. Ross Docherty, Tam O’Ware and Blair Lyons are all still out and Ryan Williamson is unavailable even though he has been back training. He could have just made the bench but we felt that since he’s only had a couple of days back with the group that he would be better served by doing some individual training on matchday.”

Thanks. I couldn't remember if McCall had mentioned him on his injury return schedule in his interview before the Hearts bounce game.

And so, 100 years ago today, it was time for the biggest game in Thistle's 46-year-old history so far. In the last four of the Scottish Cup, it's Partick Thistle, first-time semi-finalists, versus Heart of Midlothian, 4-times winners in 1891, 1896, 1901 and 1906.

Read the story of the game, played in a hurricane at Ibrox, and meet the legend that is Kenny Campbell:

I have never yet met a player whose heart did not yearn for the position of being able to say that he was one of the team which won the highest honour in the land.”
