Have you not moved to the 3 a side league yet?
Never mind, when you get expelled for not being able to complete a fixture list, we will just take over your place, thank you very much!
Phew!.......................Hellavu smell of mothballs on this forum just now!

Good of you to keep paying wages till the end of the month. We'll take over the running of Cardle's contract thereafter I imagine.

Are the Pars actually resigning Cardle?

Think he’s done at this level, to be honest. Liked him, Always had the heart, just ability couldn’t match it.

Jackie or Gerry clearly found a magic money tree beside the canal to hand out money to out of contract players who contributed so magnificently to us getting shat out of the division. Failure now being rewarded. Marvellous.

But so long as it gets us a mention on the news and the “family club” pish keeps going on then that’s okay.

Or they’re just using the well known government scheme that allows players to keep being paid without the club doing anything. No magic money tree required.

Apart from Doc. You’ll be paying all his wages with no assistance.

Nothing to do with a Magic Money Tree. We are using the furlough scheme for them, til the end of the month of June for those players, like Dundee are doing, and like Ayr.

It’s not rewarding failure, it’s making sure players and their families aren’t completely without income during a height of the pandemic.

Squiddy released by Livi

Lawless is leaving too - https://livingstonfc.co.uk/first-team-squad-update/

De Vita is returning at the end of his loan.

Then there is this

"THE FOLLOWING PLAYERS HAVE ACCEPTED NEW DEALS:

  • Aaron Taylor-Sinclair
  • Scott Tiffoney
  • Carlo Pignatiello
  • Gary Maley (unfortunately!)"    😃

It depends as they might do what Ayr and Dundee have did and keep them on till July.

technically Docherty when he signed at the time would have started as a jags player today.  However it maybe that there was a relegation clause (though obviously the nature of the relegation is very unusual due to the season not able to be completed) in his contract and he has stayed at Ayr

He can't start as a Jags player until the transfer window opens which was due to be June 9th. However the SFA have applied to FIFA to defer the opening to a later, as yet unspecified date so it's up in the air at the moment. Either way though Docherty can;t join Thistle for at least 9 days.

EDITED to add: He can't be registered as a player. Thistle may well have brought him into employment however since I see you've officially welcomed him.

More folk in this thread totally not getting the Pars love-in with Joe Cardle.

Who could honestly give two fucks if he’s finished at this level or not? Besides the obvious crisis making Scottish football completely irrelevant, I’ve seen countless diddies and mercenaries collect money from the club over the years. At least I know this one does care about pulling on the jersey and seeing him play at EEP gives me a nice jolt of nostalgia.

What am I thinking though? Bring on the hordes of shite English loanees and lower league dross...
