The gargantuan task continues today... per below, we're very proud to be introducing another 15 seasons of reserve team matches, this time from the early 80s to the mid 90s, complete with a tremendous number of potted match reports wherever it's been possible. Kenny Arthur (15), Alan Archibald (16) and Jered Stirling (17) starting out together at Abbey Park (Kilwinning) in August 1994 - check it out!

All the post QP updates are in place on your Archive, including match highlights for the 82nd match-in-a-row, keep it in mind...

:detective:  A RARE DRAW

● The personal best run of 43-not-out for the injured Aidan Fitzpatrick comes to an end, and he misses out for the first time since December 2023.
● It's now 4/4 regular play pens for Steven Lawless who maintains his 100% record from the spot.
Tomi Adeloye, who scored just 16 seconds after the resumption of play following his entry onto the pitch at Ayr last month, adds another quick-fire accolade with Thistle's equaliser in 58 minutes. It was he who took the centre following QP's second, and just 10 seconds later he had the ball in the net!
● In competitive action, referee Chris Graham has taken charge of 3 Thistle games and awarded 4 penalties!
● Incredibly, Thistle and Queen's Park draw in competive action for the first time in over 43 years!
● 21-year-old James Lyon becomes just the third Jag in history to play at Hampden on his birthday. He follows on from 27-year-old Davie Mathers (25 October 1958) and 23-year-old John Torbet (25 September 1926). James is the first to do so and remain unbeaten!

ongoing sequences:
● 35 consecutive competitive appearances for Steven Lawless, 18th Feb 2023 to date. (Longest run since: Aidan Fitzpatrick - 43 games, 3rd Dec 2022 to 21st Oct 2023. Club-record: Johnny Jackson - 313 games, 28th Aug 1926 to 25th Mar 1933.)

Our Scottish cup draws since Culter in 2011 have been an absolute shitshow in terms of good away days.

Full list in spoilers at end of post but filtered out the away games. * denotes team in same league as us at the time

Rangers (A)
Dundee Utd (A) (covid season, no fans allowed)
East Fife (A)
Celtic (A)*
QoS (A)
Aberdeen (A)*
St Johnstone (A)*
Dundee Utd (A)*
St Mirren (A)
Culter (A)

So many draws against teams in our own division. Maybe only QoS away the best day out and that was partly because we’d gone 5 or 6 years without a trip to Palmerston at that point?

Spoiler

Rangers (A)

Dunfermline (H)

Dundee Utd (H)

Airdrie (H)

We’ve had a couple of really frustrating home draws - both Formartine and Penicuik could’ve been great, as could Connah’s Quay in the challenge cup. Fraserburgh at home in the League cup too.

I don't even get excited about the cup draws anymore, just know it's going to be shite either home or away.

:detective:  HALLOWEEN NIGHT HISTORY FOR THISTLE & GRAHAM

● In what's surely a post-Dingwall bam-up from some sick teuchter at the SFA, Ross Hardie, Ross MacLeod & Ross Nelson are the three match officials.
● There have been 21 afternoon kick-offs on 31st October (1885 to 2020) but history is made as Partick Thistle play on Halloween night for the first-time ever.
Brian Graham becomes the first Jag in history to score 10 (TEN) competitive goals versus Ayr United.
● 61-goal Brian Graham enters the All-Time Top 30 of our competitive scorers chart.
● Thistle concede a penalty in a third consecutive match for the first time since August 2011. See our full historical list of every penalty faced.
● Thistle go 7 competitive home games without defeat versus Ayr United, 1 away from equalling the H2H record.
● Kris Doolan's Jags go 4 competitive games without a win for the first-time.

ongoing sequences:
● 36 consecutive competitive appearances for Steven Lawless, 18th Feb 2023 to date. (Longest run since: Aidan Fitzpatrick - 43 games, 3rd Dec 2022 to 21st Oct 2023. Club-record: Johnny Jackson - 313 games, 28th Aug 1926 to 25th Mar 1933.)

We recently presented the internet's first comprehensive competitive match list for the Partick Thistle women and now, with the club set to make a long-awaited return to Firhill on Sunday - we're delighted to take it one step further with the introduction of the full competitive H2H records against each opponent, 2014 to date.

All 55 opponents now have their own page, and these can accessed in a number of ways. As can be seen below, the 'lists' page (always accesible from the top menu bar) carries the full menu, and there's also a sub-menu page isolated. Apart from that, the opponents in all league tables have been hyperlinked to their own page, as have the opponents on a match-by-match basis on the season-by-season pages. We're sure you'll easily find the new pages whenever you want to find them! Now then, what we all want to know ahead of Sunday's big game is… what's our H2H record like versus Hamilton Academical?

Enjoy. Mon the Jags!

Head-2-Heads (Women)

All the facts and figures derived from our full competitive records against each opponent are included here. These profiles are updated at the end of every match.

Got my tickets for the women's game on Sunday. My wife going to Firhill with me for the first time since a 1-4 humping by Clyde in 1987ish. Anyone know what the ticket uptake has been like?

not being funny with you (makes a change) but for all the people on here saying that they love the women’s game none will ever go (excuses abundant), you will certainly have your pick of seats as sadly most people are just lip service to the women’s game.

But i think it’s a good idea to get people who have been away from the game for a long time or don’t like the atmosphere of the men’s games to let them enjoy the sport.

hope you both enjoy the game, just don’t expect it to be the same quality as the men’s.

From watching the Jagzone interviews, not just the current Milne one but is it just me or do the players seem to be giving lip service? Soundbites blah blah blah. It seems nobody has the fight or hunger anymore.

I also see permacrock Robinson is out for 3 weeks, spends more time OOA than available.

Great result and looks like Fitzy has had a great impact. We've sorely missed his (and any) pace over the last few weeks. He' ll be vital going forward.

Hopefully keep the winning run going against a poor Morton outfit next up.

With McMillan very possibly back, we’ve every right to feel very confident.

So, Thistle 0 Morton 4 it is then

I'd be genuinely shell-shocked at that 😬
