Reserve league game today has Banzo starting in midfield with Brice our new Belgian enforcer alongside.

Let’s hope they both get through the games unscathed and build some fitness as to be honest we need some changes in the first team.

It also seems there is a defensive trialist. No other information.

Is O’Wares injury a bad one or do we expect him back? Let’s hope he’s not out long term or we truly are in relegation trouble.

Had a quick look on the OS, would imagine there'll be a concrete update soon;

Alan then touched on Tam O’Ware’s injury. The Jags’ number four was forced off the pitch very early in the game with an injury worry. He did manage to walk off the park but the manager knows losing Tam for any amount of time would be a blow.

“He went down with no one really near him and those are always the most worrying ones. He’s a tough lad and we know he wouldn’t go down like that unless there really was something wrong so we’ll get him assessed on Monday by which point the swelling will hopefully have gone down and then we can go from there.”

edit: reading that again I wouldn't expect him to be fit for the game against Morton at the very least.

Can always indulge in some uninformed speculation on how long he'll be out to see if we can draw out another passive aggressive statement from the club, though.

I think the defensive trialist will be Sena again. With it being at Firhill rather than Airdrie and a bank holiday I'd imagine a few folk will be there to report back.

Edit - social media suggest Quitongo is the other trialist

This Fitzpatrick stuff is a fucking farce. One of the few shining lights, but there he is, being wrapped in cotton wool we're being told, yet hes been sent out to play 90 minutes in a pointless reserve game today where  by all accounts he got lumps kicked out of him. :rolleyes:

I don't particularly get either side of the argument to a great degree.  Sure, we play him too much he might sort of burn out a bit, but when he does play he gets kicked about and people are complaining at that too.   Do we play him, but only in the first team, and only against teams made to promise they won't try to kick him?

We've got some amount of central (not particularly attacking) midfielders at the moment.  Slater, Penrice, Ntambwe, Bannigan, McCarthy, Gordon.

Would be nice if more than 2 of them could be fit at once, though.
