Viduka is the best postwar record and Van Veen is now equal to it. With the re-joining of the SFL and SPL into the SPFL shouldn't all the records be re-combined too?

Van Veen could be on 40 goals if he could have taken his chances against Utd at Fir Park this season. Instead he has 1 goal and we have got 1 point out of two games.

ropy
As all players do in their hoodies, Slattery looked like a wee boy sitting in the Motherwell end.
Geedub-MFC
Why do the Bois constantly bang on about heavy hands empty stands but throw flares onto a plastic pitch burning holes in it?
MP_MFC
Cause a large proportion of them are, pardon the pun, absolute melts.
Geedub-MFC
At the Raith Rovers game one they were all congregated behind the goals and when the players came out one of them lit what I suspect was smoke pellets rather than flares and lauched them either side of the stand which could have easily hit someone. I couldn't see from where I was if they did but it's fucking stupid stuff like that that gets them they attention they hate.

The display at the start of the season vs Sligo and for KVV the other week I can get behind but the fudish behaviour not so much.
Neil86
Was there not a rumour doing the rounds that Arfield was Fir park bound this summer? any truth in it?
Swello
He's the same age as KVV I think - and like him, Arfield will think he's got one more payday in him, which would rule us out I think.

Yeah, @Derry Alli mentioned this way back on page 2395 which seemed strange at the time as it was February 19th which meant Kettlewell was only in the door 8 days as interim and we were still only 6 points off the bottom of the league after the St Mirren and Hearts B2B wins. Seemed a weird time to be confirming PCAs. Like @Swello above, I'd file it in the 'sceptical' category. As a kind of sidenote - Don Cowie was one of Kettlewell's signings in his first season as County manager so as a move adding an experienced head to the group is something that he's done. I've also noticed that we still have Clarkson cutting about the dug out on a matchday so I guess Ketts still feels there's a spare coaching role - I'd be surprised if Clarkson combining Academy Director and first team coach was viewed as being sustainable long term. Arfield is a few years older than Kev. Arfield will be 35 in November. Not a signing I would expect us to make. I'm sure there's far more money elsewhere he could make. Wouldn't be shocked to see him at Hearts or Hibs next season, especially if they've got European games to look forward to.
YassinMoutaouakil
I reckon Arfield would be brilliant for us ngl.
Archie McSquackle
There is a difference in that Arfield has probably already made his money.
Estragon
Absolutely insane thing to say when my own team is heading into a relegation playoff decider at exactly the same time...but I'm so excited about Van Veen hopefully breaking this scoring record. Feel like I'll be refreshing my phone every minute in the hope that he does it.
