Jamie_B
He wasn't injured last season. He was genuinely dropped so that he wouldn't trigger his contract extension. Eventually he did play but again Saints did not want to renew his contract on the same terms. It was sorted out and he started playing again. He hasn't found another club yet despite trying. He wasn't injured even when he missed weeks on end after being taken off injured early in games? If it was to avoid an extension being triggered why did he keep coming back into the team and making appearances from the bench? That doesn't quite tally.
RandomGuy.
#Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha has ruled out Michael O'Halloran returning to Ibrox once his St Johnstone loan ends in January BRING HIM HOME (permanently) Ooft! We should be getting a bid in now, and then spend the next three months twisting his arm.

In which case, we have to hope Pedro isn't bad enough to get sacked, but is shite enough to keep his team below us. As a new manager might not be as blinkered.
Widge
#Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha has ruled out Michael O'Halloran returning to Ibrox once his St Johnstone loan ends in January BRING HIM HOME (permanently) Wow that's incredibly short sighted by Caixinha. I know he doesn't fit Rangers style nor will he ever be as effective for them, but if he's on 10 goals by January and still flying they may regret it. Especially if he's fired us ahead of them.

'Can't wait to get rid of him' isn't the best starting off point for getting the price up.Good. Good.

For most of last season he wasn't injured and yes he was kept out the starting 11 due to Saints not wanting to trigger a contract extension.
RandomGuy.
£300k in installments, make O'Halloran a similar offer we made Swanson and May. See what fucking happens, a lot of clubs interested might wait until January knowing Rangers will be wanting to sell him.

I'd guess Saints wanted him to stay but not on the money he was on, similar to Scobbie and possibly even Mannus. Perhaps a lower basic pay, with appearance related bonuses which take them up to their old salary if they play? So Saints were wanting to renegotiate his terms at the time of the extension rather than just give him the same again which the name extension suggests he was due. Chris wouldn't do that so they tried to get rid of him by avoiding playing him so that the extension wouldn't kick in. Is that about it?

s_dog
Re O'Halloran, without wanting to just jump in and say Caixinha is a numpty, can a manager really make that kind of pronouncement on a player who he has seen making two sub appearances in games and the rest just from seeing him in training?

Dunning1874
That's mental from Caixinha. Obviously it's highly unlikely but what if O'Halloran continues his current goalscoring form and has 15 goals by January, while (more realistically) Rangers continue to struggle to break teams down and sit fourth behind St Johnstone? Chances are he'd be getting sacked at that point anyway, but ignoring the chance to bring O'Halloran back in in that scenario would surely confirm the need to sack him.
Mr Positive, sometimes.
Some guys claiming we've sold our allocation for tomorrow... No chance surely? Thats like 500?
