The Saintee
Fucking hell. Did Geoff make a wish on a monkeys paw for the double?
tree house tam
Uche retiring would be some laugh. On other things, Theo Bair saying he didn't want to come back to St Johnstone so basically refused and trained himself? The feeling was totally mutual ya big daft c**t.
gingermunkie
Has the Uche thing been posted by anyone even remotely credible? Or is it someone on the wind up based on the various rumours that he’s been injured for five months? Which seem to come from the fact he’s had a Giggs-esque international injury.

A Monday game at 8pm against our best player of last season. At least the rest of the fixtures are actually alright (for now).
The Real Saints
Would be nice to have more non-OF fixtures televised this season, but St Johnstone v Aberdeen? When will they learn?
SJFCtheTeamForMe
Nothing like Sky ruining the first game of the season. Piss off.
Honest Saints Fan
I'm happy. Couldn't make Saturday or Sunday so can now watch at home on the Monday. Ross County away on a Wednesday night in December is pretty shite, though.

perthsaints99
Ikpeazu rumours are true, he's done his knee. Not sure about the retirement bit, but he's definitely out for a significant period.

Radford
Folk are gonna say you can't respond to every bit of social media speculation but would have thought Saints would want to nip this in the bud. Preview the game tomorrow, mention he's injured and give a timescale. If he isn't calling it a day...

Like they maybe know he's torn something in his knee and can't walk on it, for example, but are waiting on a scan/results to know exactly how bad it is? I don't know how quick these things work.
SJFCtheTeamForMe
They could say something though rather than us finding out out he's injured because Roddy told his mates Vague updates is still better than avoiding mentioning it in the hope some good news to come first to soften the blow
perthsaints99
You wouldn't think we had half a squad, would you? Not even so much as a rumour of any incomings. Even a replacement for our fitness and goalkeeping coaches would be a start!

Hartley had him at Alloa when they were flying and we looked the fittest we'd looked in years with him as our fitness coach. Apparently has a background in athletics. We started doing some daft training with bands which was heavily laughed at at the time but seems to be in use more and more these days. Not bad.

Aye there was major issues with saints on the fitness front to the point that some of the players were hiring their own PTs to try and get ahead of the curve. I mean I don't think it worked, but it was a notable issue.
