Double Winning St Johnstone FC Thread

He won the double, which i doubt will ever be matched by a Saints manager, yet almost no Saints fan would say hes our best ever manager.

I genuinely think he'll be like John Hughes if he doesnt start accepting he makes mistakes and changes. Odd bits of success throughout his career but his trajectory will always be downwards.

How much money have the Browns spent on us?

Nothing

Football is not determined on crowd sizes FFS. It's a factor but it's not the deciding factor. Livi are a perfect example of this. Consistently good but with consistently smaller crowds.

We make our money from the suites that operate multiple functions daily, including from the crematorium next door, and the all weather pitch which is rented out for hours most nights. Finishing top 6 most seasons, qualifying for Europe, and selling youth products for 6 figures plus helps too.

Thats why we're so annoyed we're chucking money at an absolute donkey of a striker like Jordan White.

did you recently write an email to explain to us VAT is charged in almost all transactions?

Surely this isnt another Ian "ive been to every country in Europe but the best i could find is an over 30 in Scotland" Flaherty target?

Other clubs arent next to a crematorium in a city filled with old c***s.

It's still an enormous factor - I always view the OF as Tier 1 of Scottish football and the big city teams (Aberdeen, Hearts Hibs ) as Tier 2 - the OF are clear at the top and are currently going for 37 (?) in a row, the big city teams are all in the Top6 now the season has passed the halfway mark. To an extent a dud should be able to manage these teams to their current positions and it takes something exceptionally bad, a Butcher to get one of these teams relegated, Hertz were relegated as the result of being punished for financial doping.

6 of the bottom 7 in terms of attendance are in the bottom6 - this is where a good manager (Martindale at Livi) is crucial to a club cos it doesn't really take that much one of us to end up as one of the bottom 2, potentially relegated and requiring to bounce back from the Championship at first attempt - in terms of potential there's not much between any of the Bottom7  and teams like Thistle, ICT or Falkirk - us Top Flight minnows live in fear.
