A huge loss if he goes.

LEEDS UNITED are poised to step up their pursuit of Ryan Kent this week with a £14million bid.

They will also offer to double the Rangers winger’s wages to tempt him to Elland Road.

Leeds gaffer Marcelo Bielsa is unwilling to give up the fight for Kent, who scored in the 2-0 victory over Kilmarnock.

His initial £10m bid was rejected by Gers last week, with Ibrox manager Steven Gerrard claiming that fee was ‘way, way off’ the mark.

But he admitted increased bids to lure the 23-year-old back to England might prove impossible to resist.

Gerrard paid £7m to sign Kent from Liverpool a year ago and is adamant he does not want to sell him.

Kent is settled at Ibrox, but Leeds hope a lucrative contract worth £50,000 a week will make him want to head back south

CONFIRMADO: El delantero colombiano Alfredo Morelos (24) le ha solicitado formalmente al #Rangers que acepte la oferta de 20M€ hecha por el #Lille. Horas decisivas.

For the part-time supporters that haven't learned Spanish following the arrival of Morelos, it basically says he's requested that we accept a €20m (£18m) bid from Lille.

Forgot to add, it is from a Colombian journalist

The latest from Christopher "Union" Jack at the ET:

RANGERS are waiting on Lille to make the next move in the ongoing Alfredo Morelos transfer saga as the French side weigh up an improved offer for the striker.

The Ibrox board rejected an approach of around £16million for Morelos earlier this month and reports in Colombia on Tuesday claimed that the 24-year-old had formally requested that he be allowed to move to Ligue 1 this summer.

Rangers sources have confirmed that Morelos has not handed in a transfer request and the ball remains in Lille's court as they consider their options over a fresh bid.

Boss Steven Gerrard left Morelos out of his squad for the Premiership win over Kilmarnock on Saturday but Rangers won't lower their asking price in an attempt to speed up a deal that would see the forward leave Ibrox.

Gerrard revealed before the Killie clash that Morelos 'didn't look himself' amid ongoing speculation over his future with the Gers this summer.

And he claimed the decision to leave him out of his squad was 'easy' as Kemar Roofe and Ryan Kent - who has attracted interest from Leeds United in recent days - netted the decisive goals to keep his side top of the table.

Morelos will be allowed to bring an end to his three-year stint with the Light Blues once Rangers' asking price has been met and Lille - who signed Jonathan David from Gent in a £27million deal a fortnight ago - will have to come back to the negotiating table if they wish to further bolster their attacking options for the new campaign.

So the long and short of it: nothing's really happened yet.
