I wouldn't be so sure. He's certainly played a blinder today worthy of that sneakiest of sneaky little shits John Major.   Everyone knows Corbyn's a closet Eurosceptic forced to be pro-EU with gritted teeth to be Labour leader - hence why he'd been deliberately relegated during the Remain campaign who rightly never trusted him an inch.   Leave are on the ropes after the Jo Cox murder & it looks in the bag for Remain. What does he do? Makes a statement he knows damn well throws Leave a lifeline, mortifies Remain, and he cannot be criticised by Remain for it because to do so would risk them being accused of being happy to pander to the very same anti-immigrant sentiments they'd moralising Leave over.   The best bit is that he'll get clean away with his pro-EU Corbynistas because he's got them as conned by his bumbling old fool routine - that pastiche Michael Foot -  that conned Britain's second biggest Parliamentary party to not take him remotely seriously until they were too late to stop him.   When Corbyn gives up on politics, he should take up poker. He'd be a millionaire in a year.

What a load of tripe. He's genuine and generally a good guy but he lacks many of the leadership assets that are so craved in this presidential style political system. His politics are also genuine and his job is being made pretty much impossible by the sneaky c***s in his own party (and the shit stirrers in the media).

And the breaking news at 8 o'clock tonight on the BBC was:-

Corbyn's office sabotaged EU Remain campaign. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-36633238

Told you he was a sneaky sod - you're not the sole survivor of Kinnock's purges of any dyed in the wood radical socialists without learning a few tricks along the way.

Bump.

Hard to believe that this was only two and a half weeks ago. Seems far longer given all that has happened and it feels like she's been forgotten a wee bit.

Maybe seismic waves settle more quickly.

Definetly forgotten by by the media who have spent a week glorifying MPs stabbing each other in the front/back.

I'm not trying to stick up for any poster on here but, ive said it once and I'll say it again, the simplistic stupid stance of claiming that every Leave voter is a racist does no help take the debate forward. I refuse to believe it for so may reasons, not the least being I refuse to accept that all of the 38% of Scots who voted that way are racists and/or xenophobes.

Are there racists and xenophobes amongst their number? Absolutely. Were some others, at least in part, swayed by the racist and xenophobic language used during the campaign? Undoubtedly. But it is mind numbingly infantile and counter-productive not to look at other factors, consider their merit, and take them into account. Because only by understanding these other issues can we address them.

One of the reasons, arguably the main reason, that trump is the presumptive Republican candidate for President is that people have become dismayed by and wary of establishment politicians. It's the same reason Clinton had an uphill struggle against a self-proclaimed socialist for the Democratic nomination.

I think many traditional Labour voters in England and Wales feel a total disconnect with their political representatives. Many of them voting Leave because they feel their concerns about other issues in their communities are being ignored and thinking, wrongly, leaving the EU is a panacea for these ills. Others are being drawn to Corbyn as they see a need to return to what they see as traditional Tory values.

The ascendency of the SNP during and post the Indepence Referendum took all of us by surprise and gave us hope there was an alternative. I'd hate to think what the voting in Scotland on the EU may have been had it not been for the political engagement that was generated by the Independence debate and social cohesion and vision that was strengthened by it.

There is a large number of Scots who hate other people simply because of the school they went to. Its not a huge leap to say we will have our fair share of racists and xenophobes as well.

I wonder how many BritNats voted "leave" in the vain hope that the overall vote would be the same across the UK, so they could maintain the fiction that we're one single nation, and to stop the nightmare scenario of Scotland's independence being raised ever again. After all, surely *some* of them must read the SNP's manifesto and known that a Scottish remain might signal trouble ahead for the old Union Jack. #VoteLeavetoStopIndyref2

Probably not a single one.

They voted Leave to leave the EU. Did you not read options on  the ballot paper. It was quite easy to understand.

I'm sure they're quite enjoying the ScotGnat seethe and watching Sturgeon embarrassing herself on the international stage. I know I am..

I'm glad we agree.

Also it would be a good idea if we didn't segregate kids when they go to school based upon the flavour of sky fairy interpretation their parents supposedly believe.

The question may have been easy to understand, but those who voted to leave still appear to be scrambling for a purpose behind their vote.

No "seethe" here m9. We're delighted with the way this is playing out. Absolutely ecstatic.  :thumsup2

If you're the type of person that thinks 17 million people can be typecast and reduced to one homogenous group then I would speculate that your more likely to be the type of person who could comfortably make ridiculous sweeping racial generalisation.

I see what you did there!

There are plenty of racists and xenophobes in Scotland. I've met loads and that will get worse as Sturgeon packs the country full of asylum seekers, refugees and immigrants.

Blair tried that in England as an attempt to change the demographic to a more Labour orientated one. Look how well that's gone ! Sturgeon will do it to swamp the Union orientated demographic that exists now.

It's called demographic engineering and it is an evil and pernicious tool of Govt's and dictators.

Don't expect to see it in the SNP manifesto though.
