Brexit slowly becoming a Farce.

Can’t wait to get out that ridiculous arrest warrant.

That way facist states like Spain won’t be able to demand the extradition of democratic leaders from Scotland.

Like they have done.

Thank goodness for Brexit.

Aye, British criminals will be able to hide in Marbella again, flashing their man jewellery. I doubt the Scottish Courts will allow the extradition of Clara Ponsatí anyway.

Aye they will.

Rebellion doesn't exist as a crime in Scottish Law and the extradition request is clearly for political motives. She's actually accused of violent rebellion for which there is no evidence whatsoever.

There seems to be a decent legal arguement for her extradition not to be approved.  Not sure how much weight, if any, the courts can give to the issue of political persecution but if they can’t I hope there is scope for political intervention on  that specific issue.

There's an assumption that EU members are all decent chaps and wouldn't have politicians telling judges what to do, but this is a bit more crass and obvious. Charging her with violent rebellion makes it clear.

P.S. I meant Spanish politicians telling their judges what to do, not ours. That would be be pointless and counter productive.

Not hypotheticals, peabrain, actuals. The pound is weak because of Brexit right now. The price of any imported good has gone up, and that includes medicine and equipment. It's difficult to get through your thick skull at the best of times but this post is obtuse even for you.

So feck all to do with tariffs.

The other charge may leave the courts with little option but to allow the extradition.

I think they have to decide on all charges together, if one fails she doesn't get extradited. The misuse of public funds was just paying for the referendum anyway, so could be seen as political too.
