Is being ill seen as a terrible human flaw with voters in the USA? He may not have had mini-strokes in November but he also seems to deny ever having any kind of ailment whatsoever (apart from when it stops him serving in Nam).

It seemed to work well for Are Boris's ratings when he nearly died from The Virus but pulled through.

They elected FDR for 3 terms, and he's considered one of their great Presidents, so I suspect it's less of an issue with the electorate and more that he refuses to accpet that he is anything less than the perfect specimen.

"The top line message is that Trump's Presidency has been an abject failure." Don't see what's wrong with that.

Bit surprised the Trump campaign are trying to make it go viral.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with it at all.

Anyone looking for some well-written and thought-provoking articles on the current febrile nature of US politics could do worse than check out The Atlantic website.

It's ok. As someone else mentioned, it usually has one good article every now and then, but a lot of it isn't all that great.

Yeah, Daily Kos, very "mainstream" outlet there conducting a "poll."

It's the fact that's he's obviously doing a Ron Burgundy and will read anything off the teleprompter.

I don't see that at all. I just see Trump's campaign team editing down to shorter and shorter clips out of context to spin that he's more gaff prone than Trump, and finding useful idiots to retweet them.

Does a teleprompter usually have descriptive headings that the speaker isn't supposed to read out? Sounds unlikely.

It's not like he read out "leave pause for applause" or something.

Biden isn't close cognitively to what he was 8 years ago when he schooled Ryan in the VP debate. Anyone with common sense who has watched him for any extended period of time the last six months knows that.  In fact, he's a shadow of himself from then. It's too bad for him, as if he was and had the same political views he did back when he ran for the presidency in 88 or even 08, he'd win this in a landslide. But because he has long stretches where he's just simply off and a lot of his public statements on policy have trended more and more left, this is going to be another close election.
