Don't see what's wrong with that. Bit surprised the Trump campaign are trying to make it go viral. It's the fact that's he's obviously doing a Ron Burgundy and will read anything off the teleprompter.

I don't see that at all. I just see Trump's campaign team editing down to shorter and shorter clips out of context to spin that he's more gaff prone than Trump, and finding useful idiots to retweet them.

Does a teleprompter usually have descriptive headings that the speaker isn't supposed to read out? Sounds unlikely. It's not like he read out "leave pause for applause" or something.

Biden isn't close cognitively to what he was 8 years ago when he schooled Ryan in the VP debate. Anyone with common sense who has watched him for any extended period of time the last six months knows that. In fact, he's a shadow of himself from then. It's too bad for him, as if he was and had the same political views he did back when he ran for the presidency in 88 or even 08, he'd win this in a landslide. But because he has long stretches where he's just simply off and a lot of his public statements on policy have trended more and more left, this is going to be another close election.

Agreed, put a bet a while back on them both getting dragged away by men in white coats or to the morgue. But he must be sharpening up a bit or the Trump campaign wouldn't be putting out such lame "gotcha" clips. Not so sure that drifting to the left will do him any harm, especially in getting the younger vote out. Most people didn't think that continual lying and racist dog whistling would win the Presidency in 2016. I think it's more just trying to put out content on social media, which despite the way things seem, most Americans don't pay attention to (especially Twitter). But both the Trump and Biden campaigns aren't very well run. Though the US and foreign media will overreact to every single thing and take multiple things out of context the next two months, this election is very simple: It comes down to Florida (doesn't it always), Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan. The candidate that wins three of those four takes the election. If Trump takes Florida and Ohio, and Biden takes Pennsylvania and Michigan, then all hell will break loose as it might come down to the split votes in Nebraska and Maine.
NotThePars
More than a third of Republicans believe the QAnon conspiracy that Donald Trump is waging a secret war against a shadowy cabal of paedophile cannibals is "mostly true", according to a new poll released on Wednesday.I might’ve misread or misunderstood the poll when it was posted online but I feel it’s also notable that only 72% of Dems voters are convinced it’s completely fake. If the 28% is of the belief that the elite classes are riddled with paedos then fair enough but the specifics of Q are very anti-Democrat lol.
MONKMAN
William Barr stating live on television that he doesn’t know if voting twice is illegal, is up there with the most ridiculous claims yet. How do such monumentally thick people in the US, end up in such powerful jobs.

An absolute piece of work.

Being the world's reserve currency certainly helps, but if we keep printing trillions and trillions... The amount of dollars printed by the US will have no effect on it's value. The Fed realised in the early part of the last decade that it can now print money at whatever rate it wants without incurring inflation. The truth is that the power of the American dollar is rooted in the American military. Pre-China, the US almost exclusively borrowed from four countries - West Germany, Saudi Arabia, Japan and South Korea - places where the American military have a huge presence. We should not look at national debt and the value of currency as traditional debt (for the West at least) - national debt is effectively a tribute to the Empire. It's why all the countries that have amassed huge sums of debt are current or recent Empires. Reagan understood this principle best of all, and it's why the American military underwent huge expansion during his time in office. Of course, America's primary creditor now is China. Now, why would the Chinese be paying tribute to just about the only Empire left that could come in and wipe them out...
welshbairn
If America keeps using their control over the global financial system for unilateral and arbitrary punishment, like trying to block the Russia Germany pipeline to force Europe to import more fracked gas from America, I could see the dollar losing its central role, step by step.

J_Stewart
NotThePars prediction of Biden offering Trump out for a push-up competition is 100% happening btw Trump’s ego won’t allow him to say no, and it will be, by an unimaginable distance, the greatest moment in the history of television.
