Was an interesting game certainly, although in wild conditions and lacking quality. But we are through and that's all that mattered today. Bring on whoever in the quarters.

Morgan changed the game when he came on, fantastic performance from him and two good goals. Also thought Smith had a good game, took his goal well. Mallan played well too, another assist and I thought he scored straight from the corner at the end, ruled to be not over the line though. East Fife actually had a goal very harshly chopped off straight from a corner at the same end when it was 0-0.

Defensively we were very suspect as usual.. but again. It's all about the cups. 10 cup games, 9 wins. We don't even need replays!

Thought we deserved a draw and there was no real difference in quality between the two sides.
Couldn't see why our early goal was ruled out and we created a few chances.
Ah well. Cup run over for another year.
All the best to St Morten in the next round.

Delighted with that.

Most folk will have been looking at this tie for a shock and we managed to pull it off :P

Cup form is ridiculous this season. Clyde or Ayr in the next round please and we'll have a great shot at the semis.

Nice to have a break from they soapdodging c'nts too.

Credit must go to both sets of players for serving up a decent spectacle in conditions that were harsh.I thought we were very unlucky to be 1 down at the break and would like to see our disallowed goal again ref gave goal can only assume linesman has seen something. St mirrens opening goal from our point of view so avoidable ,umpteen chances to clear our lines. We started second half on the front foot and deservedly got level with a clear penalty. At this stage you could see how St mirren would struggle against decent quality strikers as they look less than comfortable at the back. We pushed on but got caught on the break and fair play to St mirren 2 bits of quality seen them home and dry.We got a late consolation with a moment of madness gave us another penalty which Duggan scored comfortably.Over the piece we can feel a bit unlucky not to force a replay. good luck tots mirren in the next round and good to see so many fans sticking by their team I troubled times. If you can sort out your defence I think you still have a good chance of avoiding automatic relegation.

Found a way to win in grim conditions on a poor pitch. Morgan the game's only real highlight. Should have been another goal apiece too. No quality in the game other than Morgan but reasonable entertainment for us masochists that paid money to be frozen and soaked on a winters afternoon.

We matched St Mirren for most of the game and looked like we might have pushed on and won the game after we equalised for a short time, but they came back well and probably deserved the win in the end. Full time fitness came into play in the last 20 minutes after a game played in energy sapping conditions. Great effort from the lads though. Chris Duggan and Scott Robinson were immense. Luke Watt's injury looked a sore one, obviously a hamstring. We can only wait and hope that he's not sidelined for too long...

Duggan was the number 9 I take it. Looked capable of stepping up to a better level. Always looking for the ball, ran the channels and lead the line well. Must be a handful in league 1 (we may well find out the hard way)

Not much football on show from either team under very trying conditions.

Think Saints probably just edged it, but for large sections of the game East Fife were the better team.

Highlight was the announcer at half time - she was brilliant!!!

Good to see Cammy Smith on the scoresheet and Lewis Morgan with two exceptional finishes to wrap up the game. Conditions were brutal and it was credit to both teams making it some kind of spectacle. 820 buddies in a crowd of 1150 is a great effort.
