I wouldn't pick up a 2p coin if I saw one lying around as they are pretty much worthless. Yet i've seen pictures of Mars Bars with 4p RRP on them. I do find it slightly hard to grasp that something so worthless now, used to hold real, practical value.

On a larger scale, house prices usually increase at or just more than the rate of inflation. So the oldies look like clever clogs when in fact its just been compound inflation not clever decisions. The good news news is the oldies cant take their wealth with them when they pop off.

There's one regularly on the tellybox just now where, once complete, you'll havce a fair-sized spitfire model at the end of it. Simply by buying 100 issues of a magazine at £12.00 a time.

Arthur Orton
I think I was about 14 when I ended up buying images of war for about a year. Very comprehensive history of WW2. Not boring at all, no sir. Anyway there was some balloon on mastermind with the battle of Arnhem as his specialist subject. I scored more than him. I didn't get out much in those days.

They still regularly appear, which means it must be financially worthwhile, and they spend a fair whack on advertising too. Think about how many of those things you'd need to sell in order to make a decent profit. You'd also need to keep people buying them, as the drop-off rate after the first few installments must be huge when people come to their senses. It's not unheard of for the publisher to give up halfway through a run if the sales are poor too. Imagine spending hundreds on a DIY Spitfire/DeLorean/Death Star, only for it to end up half-finished.

Yes please, stopped buying it when series was around January 45. Things weren't looking to clever for Jerry if I recall. Don't tell me I've missed a huge twist at the end.
