At least the Dundee fans haven’t spent the last few years telling us that Simon Murray is awful, that would be a bit awkward.

IMO Murray is a massive improvement on Moussa who hasn’t scored a single goal from open play in the league.  Murray will improve Dundee’s attack so it’s hard to argue that it’s not a good move for Dundee.  Unfortunately that may very well say more about Moussa than anything else.

Thats 1 horrific transfer window you lot had.

Catch us if you can :thumsup2

January was certainly terrible but that's more to do with the fact that we lost our two most important players to season ending injuries and the rest of team (and manager it seems) fell to pieces. Remains to be seen whether the signings will help recover the position, or at least give us a chance in the play-offs.

It happens we also had a few of our best players out for half the season thankfully they are back now. It's about squads good back up but you know that. I'm surprised by this window thought United would have gone all out saying that no idea of the players brought in apart from the striker. Big game this Saturday will be interesing to see how United stand up at a diffiult venue.

No need to worry: Stephen Thompson has turned his attention to the USA in an attempt to spend £3 million starting up a team in the National Independent Soccer Association.

Word has it he's been working morning, noon and night to get the deal done.

I'd say if you guys lost Morgan and McGinn for the season it would be comparable to us losing Fyvie and Fraser (although Fraser's a crock so perhaps we should have seen that one coming). Doesn't excuse the fact that the team has completely collapsed and stopped doing all the good things we were doing previously - like passing the ball to teammates and making tackles.

We had Davis and Magennis out from July to Xmas. And we were top of the League. Both these players went straight back into the team when they were fit strengthening it considerably - especially Davis. Don't use injuries as an excuse - all teams get them. Just get a decent squad instead.

The key thing here is the marked (from 1 game to the next) dip in form, confidence, cohesion, intelligence, penetration, and anything else you can say positive about being able to play good football) that we experienced following the loss of Fyvie and Fraser.

The same thing happened when we lost Dodds to TTFKAR in the late 90s. We went from top 2 or 3 to a relegation battle in half a season. He just made us tick and pretty much everything went through him. This balance (like ours now) was completely fucked up when he left, and we went into a tailspin that nearly sunk us. (IIRC the Dees went down that year, but it went to the last game of the season).

Footy fans will always use injuries (or pretty much anything else) as an excuse as to why their team isn't doing the business. Key thing is, excuses change f**k all; we are where we are, and as it stands, we're not going up, regardless of whatever excuses we come up with.

That being said, there is no doubting that the loss of these 2 creative players has affected us badly, however the rest of them need to deal with it; that's what they are paid for.

We'll get pumped. Thank you very much.
