Hedgecutter
Earlier this evening, she phoned me to ask if I could start preheating the oven. One minute later, the car pulls up and she walks into the house.
Boo Khaki
We don't live together, but thanks to lockdown and shitty weather, what time we do spend together has been more and more dominated by TV and Film. I've noticed that she has an absolutely uncanny ability to predict the precise moment that any dialogue in a TV program or movie will start up. I fully expect the ubiquitous 101 questions that seem to presume that I have some sort of specialist knowledge of plot/character details because I've been watching some sort of different, men only, version of the exact same fucking program that she has, but what is really boiling my piss of late is not the daft questions, it's the fact that in a 2 hour movie, there can be 110 minutes of absolute silence, and she's still manage to open her gob and ask something utterly banal at the exact fucking nanosecond that the dialogue starts up again. Can a mod change the topic header to 'infuriating things your next murder victim does' please. Asked her why. ”just heating it up” She went in half an hour later and it was at the temperature (it had been at that temperature for 20 mins already) ”that was a bit quick heating up, I’ll put it off and try again in half an hour”.

jimbaxters
Anyone get this one?..."Remind me in the morning to....." From that point on that makes it my responsibility. e.g. "I told you to remind me!" Edited February 21, 2021 by jimbaxters

Doctor's appointments/hospital appointments/birthdays/posting cards/collecting youngsters (that's usually my job anyway tbf)/anything at all to offload being responsible. Sometimes I wonder how she managed to bring up 6 youngsters on her own for 10 years. Although by the end of those 10 years 3 had left home, but even so.
Guest bernardblack
I took today off for a long weekend and to recharge the batteries etc. I’d planned to get a big walk in then go for a run and catch up on a couple of podcasts....mainly to just clear the head. Mrs BB has now decided to take today off last minute.

That's not on.

coprolite
I took a day off last week and told her about it after lunch at about 2pm. She then answered her own question. "why didn't you tell me? We could have done something together"
CountyFan
Mine thinks it's really unfortunate that my 9 day fortnights keep coinciding with her days on shift. It's not a coincidence!
Hedgecutter
Slowly walks over to the phone, stares at the number for ages and then acts perplexed as to why it stopped ringing before she answers it.
Bairnardo
The incredible stupidity of asking me questions whilst wearing earplugs then loudly telling me she cant hear my answer cos she's wearing earplugs made a rage inducing return the other night. Honest to f**k.....
