What's the most "Tin Pot" thing you've seen in the SPFL

Scott Brown signing up to captain a Celtic legends side on the same day as the second leg of the Championship play-off final when there’s still an outside chance the team he currently manages could be involved in said final.

This would only be tinpot if Ayr actually made the play-off final and then he actually played in the match.

Yeah bit of a rid neck that, an OF club showing up at your ground and putting their badge all over the shop .....

It's a red neck and a half.

It was for us too in the 2 hours the sign went up 10 years ago before we instructed it to be removed.

Slapping a Rangers badge right there over the Hearts badge is just as bad, possibly worse.

Hate to play devils advocate, but is this not common practice at most neutral venues, including hampden.

St Mirren fans have been arguing this for years since Celtic FC leased our stadium and the empty club shop.

The sign that Celtic FC put up outside our front entrance to the empty club shop had not been agreed with our club directors and was removed before any fans arrived. But obviously was captured by a photographer.

I’m sure inside the stadium there were plenty of Celtic badges, sponsors and other images that would have been classed as a “red” neck on P&B.

I’m sure the dugouts, the corner flags and the internal hospitality areas were bedecked in Celtic branding and relevant sponsors.

At the end of the day St Mirren were in the Championship and our financial situation meant that the 6 figure sum we negotiated with Celtic was absolutely critical on our journey back to the top flight.

Would we rather that photo never existed? Yes

Would we take the money again if it helped move the club forward even if the rest of P&B take the piss for decades? Abso-fcuking-lutely!

I think the issue is that Hearts believe we have “defaced” their club crest.

A removable vinyl badge has left it in a state of disrepair. Thoughts and prayers.

Apparently not according to the club statement

which probably explains why they didn’t bring a big enough sticker to do the job properly

Kitting out the dressing rooms properly for both the visiting teams would be a nice touch but what actually happened is just small time vandalism

This sort of thing happens in North American sports with logos on the floor in changing rooms. If the badge is that sacred, why is it on the floor? People are going to walk there, or cover it up in situations like this.

Hold on, rangers brought their own? This wasn’t put on by the organisers?

I take it back. Tinpot as f**k.

Vandalism 😂

It happened in 2022 as well and nobody batted an eyelid. Hearts caving to issue a statement to appease faux offended supporters.

Couple of questions spring immediately to mind.

Why do Hearts have their badge on the floor? Seems a bit odd when people will be walking all over it.

Why do Rangers have a supply of vinyl(?) flags? Seems a strange thing to have lying about and bring on an away day.

Next time Hearts play at Ibrox they should bring a picture of the royals and hang it upside down or something. I want this to become a thing in scottish football. See how far we can take it.

Don't pretend there wouldn't be statements and exploding heads all over the place if the roles were reversed
