We know, that was some squad looking back.

Not quite sure what we were missing? Maybe "premier league" teams in the league made things difficult

Depth. We had better players then but were paper thin. We've got depth now. We'll do fine.

Mccowan/Forrest/Rose etc were all still relatively young and not having a replacement for Shankland.

Ross county  bought the league that season in January and we fell away due to injury. Pretty sure shankland was injured for the final third, mccowan only broke through the season after McCall left so didn’t feature with Forrest or shankland

He didn't really play much with Shankland, but he was regularly in the same side as Forrest during the 19/20 season.

Was that the season we chucked a two goal lead and drew 3-3 with County at Somerset? Always felt that was the turning point, we just seemed to lose belief in that second half and things never quite felt the same afterwards.

Josh Mullin scored an absolute worldie that day, too.

It was. And at 3-3 Liam Smith missed a sitter. The next week we drew 0-0 with Dunfermline, with Shankland missing a sitter this time.

I'm obviously an arsehole and a shite judge of player but I'd have kept Paul McMullan ahead of him at that time.

Feel dirty just typing that now.

😂

He has improved immensely under the Doc.

Today's game is a big test of mentality. If they genuinely think they're title contenders they should be able to find a way to win no matter what. Professional performance required.

That's how you do a summer transfer window! Brown has been backed by the chairman and the board let's go out and f**king won this now!

With how much Brown has been backed you’ve got to say anything less than promotion or at the very least making a right good go of it is a failure.

I think the biggest thing is he's matured, you could see his massive potential at Ayr but when he made a mistake he would beat him self up, get frustrated and some times start flying into tackles that he didn't need to make and it effected him for ages after it, genuinely delighted for him.
