Premier League 2018-19

Mourinho seems tobhave no issues putting personal score settling and ego before the good of a club. You would have to think the worlds most brand conscious club would be looking to empty him before much longer.

They dont seem willing to back him with (more) money and he isnt getting enough out of what he has. Surely thats the two main ingredients of a sacking?

Mourinho's a weird one. The squad he had last year was never the 2nd best in the league. Probably on a par with Arsenal's. So, in one respect, a bit of a miracle worker to get it that high up in the league but, on the other hand, he's had the time and money to make it better and hasn't.

Irons!![emoji106]

Do you think with recent results against against chelsea and everton that pelligrinis approach is starting to work and maybe the opening few results have just been the players adapting to a new style of play? Don’t want to say crisis over for them, but things must look a little better now than before the international break?

Wasn't the squad mostly bought by him? They seem to spend several trillion each year and never get any better.

Theres a suggestion half the signings are his, and half are made by Woodward.

The likes of Dalot and Sanchez reek of Mourinho, while Pogba seems like it was out of his control. Mhkyitarian and Fred also don't seem like Mourinho buys.

Week-in-week-out, it absolutely baffles me seeing Juan Mata stuck on the Man Utd bench.
Mourinho flogged him from Chelsea though and he was even more a baller then. There must be something there. An absolutely wasted talent. One of those rare footballers who is an absolute pleasure to watch based purely on his brain rather than any sort of flash.

Everything about this seems very low-key, from the commentary to the atmosphere. Beating Man United isn't a big thing anymore.

ETA: I should say, I've liked a lot of what West Ham have done. Some lovely edge of the box play.
