NotThePars
7 in 10 Labour Party members say Burnham would be a better leader than Starmer.

Granny Danger
There was a large section of the Labour Party that wanted rid of Corbyn but they must have expected far more from Starmer. He has been an utter disaster.
Detournement
Galloway has obviously went off the reservation recently but there is no one better at absolutely destroying disingenuous questioners. If the Labour left ever get back in power in the party this has to be the strategy from day one. Never let the media set the agenda. Any time they are trying to f**k you over immediately go on the attack.
Granny Danger
Starmer will be a very relieved man though ironically this result is probably bad news for Labour as it will mean he can carry on being totally ineffective. -
NotThePars
There’s no alternative to Starmer so it really doesn’t matter who is in charge.

Some Labour types will say Burnham but that missed two key points. First, he isn't an MP. Second, he's an utter lightweight that will inspire nobody to vote Labour.

I think he would do well.
ICTJohnboy
Unbelievable that Starmer should hail last night's by election result as a huge victory for Labour despite the fact they just managed to hold on to the seat and with a significantly reduced majority. I used to have a lot of respect for Starmer, but not any more Labour are on the way back? Labour are coming home? No Keir, I don't think so.

He used to be worth listening to, but now seems to have decided that the best way forward in this day and age is to try and emulate Boris and his cronies by spouting as many lies and as much BS as possible. Unfortunately it's an approach that's not going to get him anywhere - he's just not in BoJo's league when it comes to spreading lies around.

Which has worked out so well for the islanders who are still waiting on the utterly useless shipyard at Ferguson's to complete their Cal-Mac ferry contract, when a Polish outfit in Gdansk would have completed them on time and on budget years ago instead.
