Boys Brigade

Apprentice Boys

I can only presume that these are the Christian's equivalent of the Scouts, Cubs & Beavers.

Couldn't spell 'Christian' at the first attempt, such is their irrelevance.

No, they're more like parallel regiments, nothing to do with age afaik . The Boys Brigade have nothing to do with the Apprentice Boys.

Was in Morrisons just now and saw a fucking cretin walking along with his trolley, devouring a roast chicken from the deli counter, now ive seen me occasionally nibbling a few grapes or strawberries from a punnet of fruit ive picked up but ripping a cooked fucking chicken to pieces while walking around a supermarket then presenting a carcass of bones with a barcode at the till to pay for it is, in my opinion the behaviour of a complete fucking moron.

Maybe he didn't want it to get cold?

It is traditional to be sitting in the wee seat in the trolley while you eat your grapes. At least it will stop you playing up for 5 minutes.

Was it tasty?

Looks like the bigot band march was met with complete apathy, probably the best result.

I was coming along Culduthel Road from the city centre and they were walking through the traffic lights at the crossroads just before you get to Hilton.

A few of them clocked me laughing at them and I got a few looks.

This isn't going to end well

Tbf in addition to our own we get them bussed in from Lanarkshire, Ayrshire, Norn Iron, West Lothian and probably elsewhere all over Scotland every July. Seems like travelling to meet like-minded Catholic haters is pretty much what they do.

Indeed, but I doubt many, if any, were local in this march.  Traveling over three hours in a bus to march in a town with no sectarian divide, along streets you don't know, with a miniscule turn out to watch just seems like deeply odd behaviour.  I know these marches generate (with a degree of right on their side) a lot of anger in some people but I can't help but feel more pity for those involved.  They've probably had no luck in life, no opportunities, no education and have been swallowed up by this cult.

f**k all to do with a 'sectarian divide' and everything to do with celebrating a group of young apprentices closing the gates of Derry in the face of a Jacobite army in 1688 - something we all benefited from.

Doubt they thought the same about the Dutch hooligan at Culloden on the outskirts of Inverness.

Well, of course, The Jacobite Industry is a money maker around Inverness with its mythologising  and romanticising of the Polish-Italian fop and his empty-headed supporters.  Much more ludicrous than a few blokes celebrating Parliamentary democracy.

You're right. Monarchism is wrong.

Nice avatar by the way.

One of those ludicrous marches went down the street I live on in Dundee once. It was a really pathetic sight of mostly old areseholes, mostly all portly, with a couple of lads who looked to be late teens. In total there were about 12 or so of them. They had a big police escort.

It was just sad. They weren't getting the attention they so desperately craved (one of the major points of these dickhead marches for scummy bigots).

Never seen or heard one here since.
