peasy23
Kimi and Vettel have flown home but it's still not officially off. Shambles.Yep, just come on to post the same. Andrew Benson saying it's all down to legalities at the moment but there is zero chance of it going ahead. I'm guessing they are trying to figure out who picks up the tab for everything. Gates open for spectators for practice at 10pm UK time, and they are queueing up to get in already.
Mackie The Staggie
This looks fine....... A few reports going round it will be run behind closed doors...however Adam Cooper has reported Ferrari, Mercedes, Mclaren and Renault have not turned up. Junior Pub League
The Aussie Supercars are apparently still going to be running their full race weekend, they are due on track in about 20 minutes. This is currently a bigger clusterfuck than anything Bernie ever did or suggested.
Mackie The Staggie
So.....as with most things in F1 it comes down to Money and commercial deals.

Stu
If folk are looking for their F1/motorsport fix, you could do worse than check out https://the-race.com/. It's where a lot of the staff who have left Autosport in recent months (about the time they tried the ridiculous price rise) have ended up - and there's no subscription fees to read the articles. They also have a load of podcasts. They've started a weekly one with Gary Anderson and from tomorrow have one looking at the V10 era from 1989 to 2005.

I used to buy it religiously but stopped about 15 years abo. Just go on the website now and motorsport.com

I used to buy it religiously but stopped about 15 years abo. Just go on the website now and motorsport.com About October/November time the owners more than doubled the price of it - seemingly so they could claim the print product was dead and everyone should go online, paying for Autosport Plus. That lasted about three weeks because there was such a backlash, however it looks like most of the bigger name journalists had already decided to jump ship by that point as there was a steady stream of them departing around the turn of the year and going to The Race. Not saying one is better than the other, but The Race seems to want to keep their stuff free (for the moment).

peasy23
No loss there. Monaco cancelled this year as, for obvious reasons, they can’t reschedule for another weekend. One race I wouldn't miss if it never came back tbh, an annual snorefest. Watch the start, see who is leading at the first corner, switch off.
IainMorton
I agree the racing in Monaco is usually boring but I always think there is something special about watching F1 cars driving around those streets, especially in the wet.
die hard doonhamer
I'm also in the wouldn't miss it camp. It's an awful race.
