Mackie The Staggie
Think the reference's to the Morning meeting was a pre-agreed agreement that whoever leads into T1 was going to be the winner. It was only due to McLaren shitting the bed with the fear of Lewis which meant they did the pits out of sequence, which allowed Norris to undercut Piastri. McLaren caused their own headaches here. V.Aye.R
Norris is a wee cvnt. He could have just been humble in that interview but hes shown how much of a knob he is.

His own fault really. He was 4 seconds ahead. Too big of a gamble to give that much time up IMO.
vikingTON
4 minutes ago, V.Aye.R said: Nope. Barrichello pole and was leading comfortably. The pass also took place in the final few metres. He got absolutely shafted. Schumacher was given the P1 for championship points and went on to win the title. None of the above is what happened here. What relevance does the final few metres have, in comparison to dropping your lead car 4 seconds on the straight to let your chosen winner overtake? It's either a shameful betrayal of the fan base and Principles of the Competition or it isn't. Edited July 21 by vikingTON

So your claim is factually wrong. You obviously don't understand what's occurred here, or being deliberately obtuse. Or both.

Mr. Brightside
McLaren needlessly created a bad situation for themselves and put Norris and Piastri in an awful position, after Piastri had been quicker than Norris throughout the first half of the race. Norris should've let Piastri through earlier and he could've had multiple attempts to pass, but didn't, he could've also said he'd let Piastri through at the end and stopped most of the radio drama.

McLaren should just have pitted Piastri first. I don't think Norris should have given the place back, the best drivers never do when they are in the thick of a title battle. And with the way the McLarens are going and how the Red Bull is falling off/Max losing the plot they should be thinking about a Norris world title. Verstappen was on edge all race and he is lucky on a cuple of fronts from that dive bomb on Lewis. It could have been a big crash, possible pealties going into the next race, he should have got a penalty for causing a collision putting him into 6th. It felt like a desperate move.

flyingscot
McLaren caused their own headache allowing the undercut. Norris has a right to be annoyed having got track position, and he made Piastri’s win look pretty hollow which might have been the point. Incidentally, no way I see McLaren allowing a fight if Norris allowed him through straight after pit stops. They’d ask him to hold order.
The Golden God
As much as Max being a whiny bitch on the radio is annoying, I do respect how much he cares about winning, it’s a mentality only a few have.
Sarto Mutiny
Team orders have been around forever, and it's always a laugh seeing people who are relatively new to the sport get irate about it. For all the argument that the very best drivers don't give up wins like that, it's worth remembering that Ayrton Senna did do it himself once, and made no effort to hide the fact https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1991_Japanese_Grand_Prix

These guys recognise the need to have your team and team-mate supporting you, if you're trying to win a championship.
The Golden God
Who gets the Red Bull seat if/when they get rid of Perez? Tsunoda makes the most sense given he’s been destroying Ricciardo this year. Perez deserves punted fully and they should give Lawson the second Torro Rosso but I don’t see it happening.

I would just give it to Lawson. Tsunoda would be another Gasly and I won't even waste my breath on the other RB driver.
jimmy boo
Missed watching the race live on Sky for once and instead watched the Channel 4 highlights later. A much more pleasent experience and wish Sky didn't have the monopoly on live coverage worldwide.

Which is also why (with all due respect) Rubens Barrichello has double figure race wins to his name. I think the point that most can agree on is that Piastri should simply have been pitted first as there was no serious two lap threat to either Norris or Piastri losing a place. But the attempts to 'correct' that through team orders were completely farcical and if it were another team other than Sky's wet dream then it would have been a Shameful Chapter in Race History.
