Mark Connolly
Clearly collusion to aid RB and Max. Disgusting
Mr. Brightside
So many mewling tweets like this about a driver who won 8 races and has been shite for years. It's mental.
Miguel Sanchez
258 races. I think his fans got plenty. Edited September 26 by Miguel Sanchez
Mackie The Staggie
There was a moment where it did look as if Danny Ric had the potential to be something. His early exploits against Vettel were entertaining....however, he never really built on that. He also, despite his cheery persona in front of the camera's, could never get the team to rally around him. The stories about how he burnt bridges while at Red Bull initially, then onto his move to McLaren and Renault (god that Renault phase sucked all momentum out) summed it all up. Jacque Villnuive said it best in Canada this year, Danny brings nothing but a smile to the grid.....and that's how he's going to be remembered.
The Golden God
Being dumped like that is a bit shite, but A) he definitely knew it was coming and B) he shouldn’t be there anyway. His triumphant return was at the expense of another driver who was dumped mid season as well.
Sarto Mutiny
F1 is a ruthless business. Red Bull are a ruthless organisation. Ricciardo was lucky to be in the car ahead of Lawson in the first place and Tsunoda has torn him a new one at most races this season. Some fans need to get over themselves
V.Aye.R
Somewhere in Canada, Jacques Villeneuve is sitting on twitter and swirling a large glass of Brandy.
Stu
He was great when he got the move to Red Bull and the rules changed. Think he then decided it was going to be impossible to beat Verstappen with the team rallied round him so went elsewhere, except he made a ridiculously bad move. Came back to Toro Rosso or whatever that mob are called these days in a bid to get back to the top team and never looked like it. He can't have many complaints about being ditched, but they could at least have confirmed it was happening ahead of Singapore.

'mon Lewis moronity and Ferrari conspiracy theory tends to go hand in hand, so I'm looking forward to the inevitable "Ferrari are deliberately sabotaging their own newly signed driver" nonsense should Hamilton continue looking as ordinary as he has since 2022

Aye, in 2014 when he was kicking Vettel's arse at Red Bull he looked like the real deal. After that, his career went into a slow deterioration. He must have known the way the wind was blowing when he left RB - there was no way he was going to get near Verstappen in equal machinery.

parsforlife
Riccardo fans will be happier when he settles into a pundit spot, they love him on personality and not anything he's done in a car.

He’s got 8 wins, LeClerc, Norris, Piastri and maybe Russell will have passed that by next summer. Good driver yes but he’s not even on the Coulthard or Massa level. As has been said above, he’ll be remembered for his personality more than his ability.

A petty point within this I know but it absolutely rips ma knittin' when folk use points as a measure of someone's success. Especially infuriating when it's used to compare eras, " x has now surpassed legend x's total career points tally !!" Of course he has they get about 4 times as many points dished out each weekend as when I started watching and an average driver will probably race at least 3 times as many races as they did previously as well with improved safety and much longer seasons !
KnightswoodBear
I always mind being pretty ambivalent towards Ricciardo, but the Netflix thing, for me anyway, just showed him as being a massive c**t.
