Alonso is so slow.

Alpine team saying there is no problem with his car.

Hamilton must be fuming.

Alonso just trolling Hamilton here. Also showing what a joke Monaco is for passing.

'Crofty' is absolutely fizzing at Alonso's defensive driving.

Good.

Alonso trying to make the dry race less boring. Even that’s not working.

Perez and Verstappen both seemingly being investigated for crossing the pit exit line.

The clip they bothered to show on TV for one of them, think it was Max, looked pretty blatant. Think it then must have got forgotten about with the red flag.

Had a look again at this incident and its like the football equivalent of a dive in the penalty box. Sad to see the officials taken in by Hamilton's complaints. Ocon was ahead and had the corner and was holding his line, he never changed his line into the corner or weaved, plus Lewis was not properly along side him. Lewis knew he wasn't going to make the pass without driving off the circuit. Can see why Alpine and Ocon were unhappy with Hamilton. Good on Alonso for getting back at him.

Hard to fathom that Ocon got a penalty for that. Can't imagine he would have if it wasn't Hamilton parking his car on the inside of the corner.

Imagine the incident but hamilton is the lead car and verstappen takes damage. You reckon Sir Lewis would get a penalty? No chance.

Plus the Internet would collapse.

It's a bit of a lunge from Hamilton, particularly as he isn't fully along side. Ocon could probably leave a bit of space, but penalty seems a harsh one.

The penalty was an absolute nonsense.

The race was dull after the red flag, aside from Fernando Alonso's sterling attempts at trolling almost the entire field. Crofty's tears made it even more enjoyable

I like Ricciardo but in all honesty he can't complain if he loses his seat.

Ran from a fight with Max at Red Bull in a good car to go to the midfield. I know he might have been fighting with one arm behind his back but be more ambitious than Renault. Norris has outqualified him 6-1 this seaon, the only time not when he had tonsillitis in Spain and even then he hauled the car to 8th whilst Daniel finished in 12th.

Some potential shuffles doing the rounds post Monaco -

If the proposed Audi takeover of Aston Martin goes through and the Aston Martin brand trying to establish more connections in Germany they are expected to sign a replacement German driver if Sebastian Vettel decides to retire at the end of the season. Mick Schumacher's name has been thrown into the hat for that gig. Stroll's seat is safe for now.

Another one is McLaren's CEO Zak Brown has publicly criticised Daniel Ricciardo pace at McLaren last week and after another disappointing weekend with the Aussie failing to get anywhere near Lando Norris is not going to help. The rumours are strengthening that Ricciardo could be sacked soon if his performance doesn't improve. It has been suggested that there are 'mechanisms' in place to cut short Ricciardo's current deal.

Who though would replace him until the end of the season? Nyck de Vries, Oscar Piastri are both on the books and Stoffel Vandoorne is the reserve. I think both Vandoorne and de Vries would do a solid job, but seriously the future is Oscar Piastri he looks like another Leclerc or Verstappen. Getting him in would take McLaren up another level and set the team up with a very strong driver line up for 2023.

Looks like Gasly to RB is over forever now. Could see him at McLaren to replace Danny Ric. Rumour was a swap but can’t see Danny Ric staying in F1 if he’s at AlphaTauri. Tsunoda seems to be performing (for now) so he may retain his seat, but he needs to keep it up as RB are ruthless. Likely Liam Lawson or Juri Vips replace Gasly.

I’d personally be giving Piastri the Alpine seat when Alonso’s deal is up at the end of the year. I do think Alonso still has it but you’ve got to look to the future or risk losing a world class prospect. Unless Alpine can find him another seat for next year, potentially a few openings at Aston Martin, Williams, Alfa and Haas. Zhou only has a one year deal, both Williams drivers are up at the end of the year as is Mick who will be doing well not to be binned at this rate.

You'd never see Gasly back at RB tbh. It would involve some egos shrinking and humble pie so for that reason it won't happen.

Ricciardo looks finished. No idea what's happened to the guy. A solid no 2 driver at the end of the day, must seriously regret his career choices (ignoring his bank balance).
