Dunfermline fans moaning at their players being bullied on their own turf is old patter. Give it a rest.

Moore clatters into scully, aye he’s started up pull his leg away but still hits him high. ‘Entitled to go for it’ isn’t a thing that excuses him. Geggan didn’t pull Ross, it was a chokeslam ffs

Geggan didn’t pull Ross, it was a chokeslam ffsIt’s a collision that’s a result of a ball being there to be won. Neither player is in the wrong but if it’s not offside then 9/10 a ref will give a penalty there. As I said if the linesman had a bit of sense about him he would flag quicker and the whole thing might’ve been avoided. It wasn’t a chokeslam. Stop being silly.
Hursty
I'm really not seeing the issue in the Moore one. He stretches out, misses the ball then they collide once he has landed. Doesnt look like a penalty (had it been onside) either - hard to tell unless its slowed right down but looks like keeper clears it just before the collision and they basically clatter each other with their feet both pretty much on the ground. Geggans is a yellow. Pretty sure Robbie Muirhead did pretty much the exact same to Moffat at Cappeilow a few midweeks ago and it wasnt even a free kick so cant see where the rage at a non red card comes from.

What would you call putting your arm around someones neck and throwing them to the floor? Its not ever going to be a penalty, Scully gets to the ball comfortably first, even if moore had got a toe on it would have gone down as a save.

He pulls him back and gets a yellow. It’s the correct decision. Stop being so melodramatic. There’s nothing comfortable about it. Scully touching the ball then colliding with Moore is a less than a second apart. There’s nothing wrong with what either player has done. The ball is there to be won, there’s no malice and had Moore been offside I wouldn’t have been surprised to see a ref give a penalty.
Hazbart
Definitely nothing wrong with Moore’s. He’s gone for the same ball Scully has. It’s obvious neither of them has heard the whistle or seen the flag. The Geggan one is debatable. Ive seen people sent off for it before but the camera isn’t too far away to clearly see what happened. If he had been sent off it would’ve been harsh.

Must be some of the most precious wee flowers in Scottish football. Ayr fans used to burst veins every time Cardle or Faiss touched the ball. The mouth breathers on the halfway line at Somerset are just as dumb as our worst fans.
diege
Great result for Ayr yesterday. Kerr got it right by playing ugly at times and taking our time at every given opportunity Geggan's was a yellow every day of the week, the lad he was up against had the strength of paper! Clearly the correct decision to bring Geggan off early, he would've eventually seen that second yellow Only disappointments today was McCowan never really got into the match, and Aaron Muirhead sends the nerves all over the place when put under pressure with the ball at his feet. HIs distribution at times is honking. The goal was delightful to watch, but from a Dunfermline perspective, you really need to wonder where the pressing is, it was just far too easy as they sat off us. Moore vs Scully - Both entitled to go for it as the whistle hadnt blown yet. Ayr fans were going mental thinking the free kick had been given for a foul by Moore, but obviously it was offside. Had he not, I really dont think the referee would've given the penalty. We know that Docherty has signed for Thistle already, but fair play to him, still giving it his all for us on the park. Hope he nosedives as soon as he leaves though Daniel Harvie is going to win himself some contract with a bigger club next season, if he isnt snapped up during this window. He has been brilliant for us. It was mentioned by one of my mates that a lot of the higher reputation officials will probably be on holiday along with the Premiership, so can expect some jobbers being propelled to the Championship in the short term Edited January 5, 2020 by diege grammar
Lochwood
Really hard fought victory good to see a bit of dig in the team, but Dunfermline looked the better side on another day could have been behind at half time The inter patient passing before the goal was our one really good moment I counted 25 passes finished by the instinctive prod by Moore to turn it home the shot was going well wide and to me that’s what Moore’s strength is a decent reaction player in the box. There one clear chance In the first half was when Moore gave the ball away under no pressure and Nisbett missed it but also good goalkeeping. Geggans a booking nothing more Moore and the keeper two players with there eye on the ball coming together both showed bravery going for it no penalty Same type of performance next week could get us a point which I’d be happy with.
pandarilla
Two good reports, but geggan has always been more than just a booking. He adds a level of dig and fight that our team often needs - but might not have had a good game yesterday. And has he been a regular red card over the years? I get the impression he usually knows where the line is and likes to go right up to it. Could be wrong though.

Watch the highlights a stonewall penalty if not offside , as for Geggan booking was correct but should have got a 2nd booking and sent off just after half time
callum-ayr
Just watched the highlights. 3 points, the goal is great team work and great build up. Moore does well to anticipate it. Second, the “chokeslam” the player ends up under Geggan as he pulls him back. Onto the collision, is it just me that finds the way in which Scully tries to collect the ball very weird? Doesn’t seem convinced he’s going to get it and the balls there to be won by Moore, any other striker in the league makes the same attempt to get the ball.

Geggan was subbed at the right time as he would have inevitably got a second booking as Dunfermline were correctly targeting him as he already had a yellow. Who mentioned a chokeslam? This is a chokeslam... ^That did not happen on the pitch yesterday.
rb123!
Tbh going by the highlights it was pretty needless for Geggan to go to that extent, either that the boy was over dramatic and made it worse than it look. Another ref probably could have easily sent Geggan off IMO, especially our favourite Mr Greg Aitken
101
I've not seen the highlights but if Geggan pulls him back by the neck that's a red card, it has to be serious foul play.

Yes, he can be rash and walks the line quite often but we get bullied far too easily when he's not playing.
BukyOHare
Both talking points correctly handled by the ref, which is saying something for anyone who was there to see his overall performance. The moving of the taking of the Dunfermline throw in taker this way and that was amusing as was the time it took to make up his shopping list as the home side tried to take a free kick. Moore feet are on the ground when him and Scully collide, not every collision has to result in a foul awarded one way or the other. Both players have made an honest attempt to win the ball, it happens. As for the chokeslam description, I hope the person responsible has the cahoonas to come on and say they may have been looking through home team getting beat hysteria specs. It happens to us all.
