Summat like:

Physical exercise in the open air is everyone's responsibility. Until further notice and from now until the 31st of March, in light of self isolation this activity is highly recommended.

The announcement of the prime minister on the 17th of March mentioned brief spells outside close to your homes for physical activity except team sports.

Exercise should only be done close to the home and for a limited time. Group cycling that lots of people have been doing does not qualify and is subject to a verbal warning. Conditions of exercising for a short time close to our house are contradicted by cycling far away and for a long time. All types of cycling, even on you own, are temporarily banned.

In any case the French cycling federation considers it obviously the responsibility of everyone to adhere to strict measures during a difficult time for the whole country, in order to put every effort into emerging victorious in our fight with this virus. To act otherwise would be irresponsible and unacceptable in view of the solidarity everyone must show in these difficult times.

In addition the federation considers also as a reminder that in times of crisis it is not the job of clubs to encourage people to keep exercising outside and even less to organise training, even alone, because that becomes training as a group. In this matter it is appropriate to follow closely government advice and be individually responsible in facing the situation that the whole population faces. The federation says: "Save lives! Stay at home!"

Serious shit now.

Netflix cutting streaming quality by 25%.

What the point of even going on with life?

You joke, but a large number of people with serious mental health issues are going to be thinking this a lot over the next few months. For some people it will be just 'existing' with no joy, no happiness, nothing.

I'm with Romeo on this one, we need the inconsequential shite we prattle on about in here to deflect from the all too real misery that we are facing in real life. I know I have serious issues & can usually deal with them, the levity this place provides might just save a few peoples sanity & keep them going.

All the more reason for romeo’s uplifting brand of comedy.

Haven’t seen but can we add Tim Martin (Wetherspoons) to the list. With Britannia hotels and Hearts?

Just because....well...just because really.

He can join his ex-customers as they congregate in the park to reminisce about the converted bank/cinema they used be able to get cúnted for a tenner in before that foreign fucking virus screwed the economy. You never got this with a good British cold, I tell you...

It was very obvious coming home from work in the mornings this week that the roads were getting quieter every day, so there must be a lot of people either working from home, or having to stay home to self isolate.

What is becoming apparent though, is that unless the government actually order bars and restaurants to close, then their social distancing recommendations will make very little difference. As has been mentioned several times on this thread, people are c***s.IMG_20200320_102647.jpeg

Was at Lidl earlier, got all the things I was wanting for a barbecue no bother.  Sold out of toilet roll, paracetamol, etc.

Guy in front of me had 8 cans of beer, a bottle of whiskey and a couple of ready meals just after 10 am.  Maybe he’s heading off to self isolate.
