IARJ ? International Association of Religious Journalists? Whit?

You appear to be having a complete meltdown today.

You keep talking about my "imaginary business". I have no interest in what you think. The government certainly don't think it's imaginary and I thank them once again for that non-repayable £10k business grant.

10 k, eh? Hey, you could pay that off your mortg...oh, no, I forgot.

IARJ = I'm alright, Jack.

If you've got no interest in what I think, why keep replying? Now  that's breakdown, if not meltdown, behaviour.

I know exactly what I would do in your situation but your other posts (and obsessive references to my business) have pissed away all of my goodwill so I'll leave you to fathom out how to resolve this yourself.

I'm not asking you to resolve it. I'm asking you to justify the logic. Why not just say you can't?

As for your goodwill? Your posting on here suggests one of two possibilities - either you've created an online persona who is a complete knobhead, or you are a complete knobhead. In neither scenario does your goodwill matter in the slightest.

It seems so many people just want to write off 2020 and have nothing happening until 2021

There does seem to be a strange train of thought that it will be absolutely impossible to hold something in December, but not blink about the idea of an even happening in January. As if December 31st in unsafe, but overnight it will be alright again 😂

The Christmas markets will be next on the list people will want cancelled ASAP despite them being over 6 months away.

The problem for a lot of things is in the details - schools being an obvious example where no matter what measures can be put in place in whatever timescale, the logistics apparently rely on unalterable contracts between LAs and bus companies. Maybe someone with Event management experience could clarify?

I think organisers of these events are finding it too easy to just cancel things.

Out running first thing this morning and I saw at least a dozen discarded face masks just left at the side of one pavement, a few others dotted around as well.

Apart from the fact that littering is the sign of the worst kind of person, throwing away a facemask during a f*cking pandemic is the sign of a serial c**t. I'm utterly astounded that the figures in Germany haven't risen again to any degree because quite frankly, like anywhere else, this place is full of utter brain-dead idiots and thoughtless fucking c***s.

I'm not going to try. It's your problem. We all have them but apparently you seem to think it's just you. It's a common theme throughout your posts.

It's all about how bad things are for you personally.

There are plenty of people on here willing to try and help but you don't want help, you just want to rant and rave at everything and everyone which means you are wasting everyones time.

I'm going to leave you to it.

must... reply... to.... everything...

I've seen this a few times got to be a bit of a red herring I would think. There has to be flexibility on all sides in what are exceptional circumstances. Those school buses will for the vast majority of firms sit in a depot outside the current school hours, there must bea solution to be had there.

I'm delivering training at the moment for the acceptable method for donning, doffing, and disposal of the three types of mask our staff use. Chucking them on the floor ain't approved, surprisingly.

How do they even begin to police “bubbles”?

Is there an app where you need to register which households are in your bubble, so that you can be fined if caught visiting other ones?

IMO, the bubble system is a not so subtle way of allowing socialising whilst still being seen to be enforcing a “lockdown”. The powers that be know that a bubble system is totally unenforceable and it’s just a way of trying to appease both sides.

They're not policing the current situation much either, so that's an irrelevant point.

Most people do follow the rules, for the most part.

It goes back to the whole collective responsibility thing, rather than expecting the government to completely solve things.
I could do with a lot fewer IARJ arseholes deciding that, because they have evaluated their personal risk as slight, the entire population should be put at risk so that we an all go for a pint before the football.
I could also do without people with imaginary businesses claiming that there's not the slightest skewing of lockdown relaxation to what's best for the economy rather than what's best for the people.

You seem to be really struggling this morning. What the f**k does iarj even mean?

A wee bit of fresh air is needed, me thinks.
Gandhi was fond of sleeping naked with his teenage grand nieces. Haven't got any dirt on Adolf though.
Hitler was allegedly shagging said niece before she committed suicide. So i think sexual deviant can also be added to his charge sheet (although strangely, it's one of less severe crimes).

Here's hoping!

Nothing to do with covid 19 or social distancing mind

Could be contractual issues as well, in that they can call it off now at no cost but wait until nearer the the time but have to call it off then, it might cost them a few bob.

Yeah, I'd have thought so - after all, surely the companies would want to retain goodwill, and maybe a wee bit extra income if the schools were to be open during normal holiday time. Without knowing more, it's difficult to say who's being obstructive, but at this time, surely various bodies should, as you say, be going down a route of compromise.

Quite possibly.

That said, given the situation, surely there's a bit of scope for re-negotiation.

Oh definitely! No Christmas markets despite it being 6 months away and covid numbers falling each day. I think half the folk are perversely loving this pandemic and the strange rules and mindset

I'm grateful to you, and the fantasy businessman, for your concern. Unfortunately, inside or out, Johnson is still Prime Minister. Yes, I'm angry - fucking raging in fact. Not just at this pathetic, incompetent Government, mind. It's the whole "now is not the time", "we won WWII, we can win this", "Support the Government becuse they're doing their best" bullshit that is flying around which really, really boils my piss.

For the record:

1. Now is absolutely the time. Every day these arseholes are in charge, innocent people are suffering needlessly. And they cannot help fucking lying about it. Anyone complicit in the UK Government's handling of this crisis should do time. And I include the scientists who are legitimising the day-to-day reactionary approach.

2. This is not, whatever the spin put on it, a war. It is a crisis where innocent lives are being taken by an indiscriminate virus. "Stay Alert!" - what against a colourless, tasteless, invisible, odourless virus which can't even be see with a conventional microscope? What the fúck do you take me for?

3. Support the Government? They're doing their best? Leaving aside my congenitsal inability to support a Tory in anything, if this is their best they should fucking resign and go spend more time with someone else's money. Many picked up on Jeremy Corbyn's faults, sometimes justifiably so, but both he and, I believe, Keir Starme would have recognised a Public Health emergency when they saw one.

So, yes, I'm angry. I haven't lost anyone to this virus - yet - but seeing and hearing from people who have is absolutely heartbreaking. I simply cannot imagine what it would be like to know a loved one was dying and not be there for them.
